Living Hope Baptist Church

The things of this world are a disappointment. They cannot satisfy the eternal longing of our soul. The desires of the flesh and eyes the pride of life are the source of human suffering. The will of God lasts forever. This will of God is the hope for all who believe.

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus provide the victory for God’s children who live by faith. Our sin is forgiven. We know Him who is from the beginning. We overcome the evil one. We know the Father. We are strong in Christ. God’s Word abides in us.

To live without love is to live in darkness. In darkness there is only fear, pain, and blindness. God calls us to live in the light of love.

The Gospel is not a New Testament thing. The Gospel is the Good News of the Old and New Testament. Hope is built on the foundation of the Old Testament and New Testament.

On Easter we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. We give thanks that Jesus died and paid the penalty for our sin. On Easter we celebrate that Jesus is alive and that His resurrection power is now at work in us, as we live raised to walk in a new life.

Two of Jesus' followers had different responses to what they saw, when they saw the empty tomb. One believed and one doubted. Jesus was gracious to Mary and enabled her to believe. Her response to her belief was to share her hope.

To love God is to obey God.

Assurance of salvation is not a feeling. It is a fact. It comes from seeing the life of Jesus lived out in us, as we live in obedience to Jesus. When we have living hope, we will love God deeply and this love will lead us to obedience.

Being a Christian does not mean a person is perfect. It means a person has been forgiven of their sin and made righteous with Christ. That righteousness must be learned in order to be lived. As we seek the holiness of God through repentance and faith, we will discover the joy of living hope and be transformed.

The reality of Jesus and the living hope He provides gives us joy. Our joy grows as we share it, live it, and fellowship with others who have living hope.

Jesus is alive! His existence is our hope and is something we experience through the power of the Holy Spirit. The life of Christ is eternal and is now the source of life for all who believe, giving God’s people a living hope.

To understand the hope of the world, you have to understand The Story of the world. The hope of the world is the promise of God He has kept, He is keeping, and that He will keep. The hope of the world is a living hope.

We often want things to stay the same, but in this world, change is constant. The only chance to have hope is to anchor your life and hope in Jesus. He will guide us through changes, be with us to bring healing and transformation, and enable us to live with audacious faith.

Living hopeful happens in our hearts when God calls us to follow Him. Being helpful happens when we open our lives to others and share Jesus with them.

Living hopeful and being helpful does not just happen. We must be intentional about it. We must look ahead and make plans to live hopeful and be helpful.
