What We've Watched Podcast

This week we watched a little HBO mock-u-mentary from 2017 that we had never heard of till I came across the trailer accidently - Tour De Pharmacy, a fun goofy look into drug use in bike racing. A crazy star filled cast and bonkers story.

This week we hit up the new Netflix hot film, They Cloned Tyrone, starting a trio of excellent actors/characters. It's quite the ride and the movie does a great job of zigging when you're expecting a zag.

Coming up on the half way mark to the series we hit an episode that doesn't quite dazzle us and leads to some discussion about the choice to air the episodes in such a different order than they were produced.

We once again ride the Romero train and this time into the 21st century rendition of his "Dead" film series. What does two decades on ice mean for the style of these? How do they translate into more modern film making and can the tenents of the series survive? We also get to some talking about film budgets and actors salary and how that can affect film performance.

This episode features Number 6 making another escape from the Village - but can he stay away?

It's episode 350! We continue with our second look at our favorite actors and actresses in a decade and this time it's the 1950s. Big names and big movies fill this one up.

On this week's episode of The Prisoner we find out who the mysterious General is and what that means for the Village. We also get to talking about some other related TV stuff as well.

Back in 2020, in episode 228, we watched Extraction and quite liked it - so we decided to watch Extraction 2. As it turns out we like it as well :) Tune in to this episode to see what we liked about it and what parts didn't quite hold up. It's the 8th birthday of the What We've Watched Podcast and so we watched When Eight Bells Toll, a very early Anthony Hopkins "James Bond" styled film adapted from the book by Alistair MacLean of Where Eagles Dare and other classics. Please pardon the background hum in a few places - some loud outside noise that got picked up by the mic.

This week we get to find out what it would be like if there was two #6's, but one of them is #12 pretending to be #6 and the other is #6 brainwashed into thinking he is #12. Yup, it's just like that some days in the village.

It's time for another decade look back as we go 30 years into the past and watch 1993's Heart & Souls. With a crazy cast of Robert Downey Jr, Charles Grodin, Kyra Sedgwick, Elisabeth Shue, Tom Sizemore, Alfre Woodard and David Paymer it's a film that maybe relies to much on heart and doesn't have enough soul.

This week Number 6 enters the wild world of politics in the village with the episode Free For All.

We continue with Romero's "Living Dead" series this week with the remake of Night of the Living Dead from 1990. What was the same, what got changed? For the better or worse? Listen in to see what we thing.

This week we take some time with Number 2 and Number 6 to learn our alphabet with the extra surreal dream like episode - "A.B. and C".

It's been a while (300 episodes in fact) since we talked about films that we think are underrated, so we decided to do another top five, picking from the films that have come out since then.
