Episode #275: The Path of the Pole - Part 10
05/02/2023 Duração: 02h09minWe continue exploring the fascinating information in Charles Hapgood's book, Path of the Pole, starting this week with a detailed look at pleistocene deposits in South America that contain enormous amounts of megafauna and, sometimes, human remains. In caves, valleys, and massive mud deposits, these fossil remains speak of a geologically recent catastrophic event. We then move on to Hapgood's discussion on the subject of evolution, and how his crustal displacement theory may help to fill in gaps in the explanatory power of natural selection and mutation. Episode #273: The Path of the Pole - Part 9
19/01/2023 Duração: 02h15minWe continue our in-depth reading and discussion on Charles Hapgood's Path of the Pole, finishing up the section on megafauna extinctions in North America at the end of the last ice age, and moving into evidence for massive geological upheaval in South America in the recent past. Hapgood talks about the Altiplano area of Peru and Bolivia, Lake Titicaca, and Tiahuanaco, all of which show signs of being involved in an enormous geological uplift that brought the lake from contact with the ocean to its present location far above sea level. Episode #272: Ice Age Bones with George Howard
13/01/2023 Duração: 02h05minGeorge Howard joins us to discuss his knowledge of the Alaskan Pleistocene bonebeds we were reading about in Path of the Pole. George has a lot of interesting information about these deposits, including a Comet Research Group study on cosmic material recovered from sediments embedded in the bones themselves. We also discuss a similar massive bonebed right here in Texas that George has known about for many years. For various reasons, these bonebeds haven't really been properly studied, but maybe that will change in the near future... Episode #269: The Mysteries of Egypt - Part 3
22/12/2022 Duração: 02h27minWe are joined in studio by Laura for more discussion on the 2022 Egypt trip. We talk about what we learned, further observations we made, and plans for the future. Laura asks us about the goals we had for this trip and if we accomplished any of them...which we did....mostly. Kyle talks about mapping the Serapeum and jumping in and out of the boxes, checking the interiors and using resonance to get rough measurements. We also discuss the statues, the differences in skill and style you can see between them, and the possibility that the large object that was being cut out at the Aswan Quarry might have been a rough block for a standing statue. We're getting back into the normal swing of things here at the SnakeBros Institiute, so we finish up with some Space Weather news and a few emails, and a 1Up box present for Laura. Thanks very much to everyone who supports the show! We have the following Producers for this episode: Executive Producers: Anonymous Gordon Plant Olesia Voronova Tara Lee Sanders Tri-Vest

Episode #266: The Path of the Pole - Part 7
10/11/2022 Duração: 02h11minNote: We are leaving for Egypt, this will be the last normal episode for a few weeks! In Part 7 of our deep dive into Charles Hapgood's The Path of the Pole, we continue the discussion of the mysteries of "orogenesis" or mountain building. What forces can cause the enormous uplifts of so much rock? What is the cause of the numerous "basalt plateaus", where enormous amounts of magma poured out from underground and covered hundreds of square miles in layers of basalt hundreds of feet thick? These questions and more are described in detail by Hapgood, in this week's episode. Episode #265: The Path of the Pole - Part 6
03/11/2022 Duração: 02h20minContinuing our deep dive into Charles Hapgood's The Path of the Pole, we discuss the evidence that advances and retreats of the massive Pleistocene ice sheets in North America and Europe were apparently in opposition, such that whenever there was an advance in Europe, for example, there was a retreat of ice in North America, and vice versa. Hapgood points to this as evidence that these advances and retreats were not caused by global cooling or warming, but perhaps they may have been caused by lithosphere displacement. Near the end of the episode we start in on "orogenesis" or the process of mountain building, and the mysteries of how the world's enormous mountain chains came to be. Episode #264: The Path of the Pole - Part 5
27/10/2022 Duração: 02h20minGetting into the depths of the Path of the Pole in our ongoing book report. We talk about volcanism and its possible role in drastically affecting climate during catastrophic crustal shift periods, causing all the glacial and interglacial periods we see evidence for in the recent glaciation. Hapgood also details evidence showing the timeline of the advance, retreat, and complete disappearance of the last ice age, and how this timeline is very short, meaning the disappearance of the ice cannot be explained by standard slow-moving geological processes. Episode #263: The Path of the Pole - Part 4
20/10/2022 Duração: 02h05minPart 4 of our deep dive into Charles Hapgood's The Path of the Pole. This week, we look at evidence for a warm arctic during the last ice age, with islands currently within the arctic circle showing evidence for much warmer climates in the late pleistocene. We also read about evidence from other key places around the world having climates that align with the hypothesis of a north pole at Hudson Bay. Hapgood also briefly discusses Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings and the Oronteus Finaeus map. Episode #261: The Path of the Pole - Part 3
06/10/2022 Duração: 02h13minPart 3 of our deep dive into Charles Hapgood's The Path of the Pole. This week, we look at more evidence of past pole configurations different from the present, as well as evidence against the idea that in the past, the earth spent long periods of time with a uniformly warm or cold climate, which was one of the attempts to explain away evidence for warm climate flora and fauna in what are now polar regions, and evidence for polar conditions in what are now tropical and sub tropical areas. Episode #260: UFOs Part 10 - "The Spookiest Story Never Told"
22/09/2022 Duração: 02h59minThe long-awaited part 10 of our UFO series with Marty Garza is actually the first in a subseries of episodes exploring more of the topic of what kinds of "technologies" have been gleaned from interactions with the phenomena of UFOs and otherworldly entities. How much does this topic really overlap with the occult? With ancient myths of gods, demi gods, "demons", "angels", and "ancestor spirits"? This episode we start with strange psychological effects of polar exploration, take a look at large studies of strange and "paranormal" occurrences by Russian and German scientists in the era leading up to the world wars, and how these studies seem to have affected the course of history moving forward. More on this subject to come in future UFO episodes! Executive Producer of this episode: The Grimerica Show (thanks guys!)

Episode #259: The Path of the Pole - Part 2
15/09/2022 Duração: 02h19minPart 2 of our deep dive into Charles Hapgood's book, The Path of the Pole. This week we cover more of Charles' ideas on how the crust may have moved catastrophically, as well as the possible evidence for drastically different arrangements of continents in the distant past, such as evidence for large glacial masses in what are now tropical areas in India and Africa. Episode #258: The Path of the Pole - Part 1
08/09/2022 Duração: 02h16minAfter our interview with Maartin from MarioBuildreps about ancient sites possibly being aligned to previous north pole positions on the earth, we decided we should take a deep dive into Charles Hapgood's book, The Path of the Pole, and look at historical research into this topic. The second edition of this book, published in the 1970s, is over 50 years old at this point, and is a revised edition of the 1958 printing of the original work, Earth's Shifting Crust. It's certain that geophysical science has progressed since then, but it is still worth looking at the state of the art at the time. Episode #256: The Narrative of Myth
25/08/2022 Duração: 02h16minConversation on the main topic starts in the second half of the episode. It's the end of August, and for us, it is the harvest season. We discuss this year's harvest of the grapes and the beginnings of this season's winemaking. Kyle reads a few news stories and we discuss those, then in the second segment Russ reads a long story from the Mysterious Universe website about four cases of strange mass animal deaths. In the second half of the show, Kyle talks about the "philosophy of narrative", how common stories have a powerful influence on people and culture. How much have ancient mythologies influenced us? We also talk about the ability to focus on one thing versus the need to pay attention to the big picture, and how to balance these two ways of looking at the world, and how that connects to ancient mysteries, structures, and mythology. Thanks very much to everyone who supports the show! And big thanks to the following producers of this episode: Executive Producers: Michael Burroughs Philip Baklamov Matt Sh
