It's about to get philosophical up in the Foovies Podcast as we dissect the indie classic film "My Dinner with Andre". Starring Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory (unfortunately not Andre the Giant)play characters with their same names as they catch up over a dinner. During the dinner they discuss the topics of love, religion, society, and far out conspiracy theories. Listen to see if we think it deserves the praise it has gotten over the years. Set in a dystopian future where food is scarce, exists a butcher shop/apartment that eat human flesh. In addition there's clowns, chimpanzees, and wide angle lenses It's very French. Take a bite out of our latest episode on the new Netflix original film Death Note. An american adaptation of the Japanese manga and Anime from the early 2000's. Listen to see if this film holds up to the original source material or if it deserves to die a horrible death from the death note. Along the way they'll have help from a shady locksmith named Raoul who may or may not be eaten by the end of the film. During the pod, listen to the rude food doods discuss Tim Allen and dive into the century old debate of who landed a plane better Ted Rider from Airplane! or Barry B. Benson from Bee Movie. Did we enjoy this film? Did it make us feel uncomfortable? You'll just have to listen to find out!

Finally a movie that ask the question folks, what's the deal with airplane food? But in all seriousness we watched the 1980 comedy "Airplane!" the parody movie that would spawn countless other parody movies. We're closing this season on the 2009 rom-com written and starring Aasif Mandvi playing an Indian American chef trying to keep his family resturant in business while simultaneously trying to find love in the big city. Along the way he'll have help from a magical cab driver (Naseeruddin Shah) and his sous chef (Jess Weixler). Is it cheesy? Is it bad? Does it make us hungry? You'll just have to listen to find out!
