  • Tennis player Shelby Rogers on identity, Bible studies and growing as a follower of Christ

    Shelby Rogers is a professional tennis player who turned pro in 2010 at the age of 17.  In 2020, Rogers defeated Serena Williams in the Top Seed Open and became only the fouth player ranked outside the top 100 to defeat Serena in a main-draw match.   • George Foreman on finding purpose in Christ and saying yes to his new film "Big George Foreman"

    George Foreman is a former heavyweight champion boxer, successful entrepreneur and pastor of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Houston, Texas.  In 1973, Foreman defeated Joe Frazier to capture the world heavyweight boxing championship. After losing the title in 1974 to Muhammad Ali, Foreman became a follower of Christ and walked away from boxing in 1977 to become a pastor. In 1987, he returned to boxing and in November 1994, he defeated Michael Moorer to capture the WBA/IBF heavyweight championship for a second time.   • Patriots legend Devin McCourty on his retirement announcement and seeking wisdom from God

    Devin McCourty is a former NFL defensive back who played his entire 13-year career with the Patriots. He was originally selected by New England in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft after a stellar career at Rutgers University.  McCourty was a part of three Super Bowl championship teams with the Patriots and was named Second Team All-Pro three times. On December 1, 2022, he became the fourth defensive back in NFL history to have 200 starts with a single team.   • Carnell 'Cadillac' Williams on coaching as ministry and leaving a legacy at Auburn

    Carnell 'Cadillac' Williams is Auburn's associate head coach and running backs coach. The former NFL running back was hired by Auburn in January of 2019 by then head coach Gus Malzahn and in 2022, after Auburn fired Bryan Hardin, Williams was named their interim head coach. In November, Williams was retained as an assistant by their new head coach, Hugh Freeze.  As a player, Williams excelled as a running back at Auburn and was selected fifth overall in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft by Tampa Bay. In his rookie season, Williams was named Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.   • Giants wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins on his breakout 2022 season and staying connected to Jesus

    Isaiah Hodgins is a wide receiver with the New York Giants. He was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills after a standout career at Oregon State.  In 2021, Hodgins made his NFL debut with the Bills, but it was in 2022, after being released and picked up by the Giants, that Hodgins showcased his talent. In five starts with New York, Hodgins had 33 receptions, 351 yards and 4 touchdowns to help the Giants to a playoff berth.   • Ole Miss baseball coach Mike Clement on lessons learned from God in winning a College World Series

    Mike Clement joined Ole Miss as their hitting coach and their third base coach prior to the 2015 season. In 2022, he was a part of the Rebel's College World Series championship run and helped lead his club to scoring 82 runs over 11 postseason games and never being shut out. They outscored their opponents 82-23 with a postseason scoring margin of +59 and hit 17 home runs during that time. A former college catcher, Clement played two seasons at Kirkwood Community College (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), helping the Eagles compile a 91-25 record. He finished his college career at Morningside College (Sioux City, Iowa), where he earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education/secondary education in 2002. Following college, the Marshalltown, Iowa, native played professionally for one season with the Canton Coyotes of the Frontier League.     Willie Buchanon played 11 seasons in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers and San Diego Chargers. He was selected 7th overall in the 1972 NFL Draft by the Packers and in his first season, was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.  He was named to the Pro Bowl in 1974 and 1978.  After seven seasons with the Packers, Buchanon moved to San Diego and finished his final four seasons with the Chargers. After his football career ended, Willie was named to the San Diego Chargers 50th anniversary team and the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.  Today on the podcast, we talk to Willie about his NFL playing career, growing up as a pastor's kid and living his life as a follower of Christ.
