Kyle Gibson is a starting pitcher with the St. Louis Cardinals. Drafted in the first round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins, he made his big-league debut in 2013 and pitched seven seasons with Minnesota.In 2020, he signed with the Texas Rangers, and in 2021 made the American League All-Star team. After being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, he was a member of the 2022 National League champions and pitched in the World Series. Last year with the Baltimore Orioles, he notched a career-high 15 wins and helped the team to 101 victories and the AL East championship. Then in November 2023, he signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals for the 2024 season. Jim Nill is the general manager of the Dallas Stars. In 2023, he was awarded the NHL's Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award after Dallas posted 108 points and 47 wins, their highest total in seven years. Before going into the front office, Nill was a player, selected by the St. Louis Blues in the 1978 NHL Draft. He made his NHL debut in 1981 and played a total of 10 seasons with the Blues, Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets and Detroit Red Wings. John Means is a pitcher with the Baltimore Orioles. He was selected in the 11th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by Baltimore and made his MLB debut in September 2018 against the Red Sox at Fenway Park. In 2019, he won 12 games and was named to the American League All-Star team.  In 2021, Means was selected by Baltimore to be their Opening Day starting pitcher. On May 5, 2021, he threw a no-hitter against the Seattle Mariners, striking out 12 batters while facing the minimum of 27 batters. In 2022, Means only pitched two games before undergoing Tommy John surgery. Granger Smith is the author of the New York Times bestseller "Like a River" released back in August of 2023.  After 24 years touring as an award-winning, platinum-selling, country music singer-songwriter, Smith chose to leave the music business to pursue a future in ministry. Madison Hock is currently a host and reporter for Bally Sports Southwest. In college, she played basketball at Division 1 Belmont University. After graduating, she turned her passion of playing sports into covering sports and began her broadcasting career at WBIR in Knoxville, Tennessee covering the SEC. She joined Bally Sports Southwest in November of 2022 and covers the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans and MLB's Texas Rangers. Alyssa Brito plays softball with the Oklahoma Sooners. Dr. Sean McDowell is an author, speaker and associate professor in the Christian Apologetics program at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. Butch Thompson is the head baseball coach at Auburn University. He began his coaching career at Birmingham Southern and after stints at Georgia, Auburn and Mississippi State, he returned to Auburn and was. named their head coach in October 2015.  In 2019 and 2022, Thompson led Auburn to the College World Series and has 256 career wins in his eight seasons with the Tigers.  Today on the podcast, we talk to Butch Thompson about role models, giving his life to Christ, his "identity statement" and how much he loves coaching at Auburn.
