This wonderful truth is especially relevant because it is precisely what Jesus asks of us: that we abide in Him (John 15).  Therefore, in this message, we consider ways in which the Spirit who abides in us helps us abIde in Christ - and in so doing enables us to be fruitful as we follow Jesus.

During his time on earth, Jesus was ‘God’s Address’ as a person and also had a residential address in Capernaum where people could find him (Mark 2:1).  God is drawing people to Himself in increasing numbers in our day and they need to know who and where to turn to when this happens. This is why we need to be relaxed and confident in sharing our faith in Jesus so that people can geographically find us, individually and corporately.

The story of the kindness shown by King David to Mephibosheth (2 Samuel 9) is amazing for many reasons, not least because it is also a picture for us of how God, our Father invites us to leave a place of 'no pasture' and sit at His table, The King’s table, showing us kindness, mercy and faithfulness because of the new covenant we have through the finished work of Jesus.
