Episode 45: Gemma Stafford
09/12/2022 Duração: 23minI had a really enjoyable conversation with Gemma Stafford about her second cookbook, “Bigger, Bolder, Baking Every Day.” This cookbook is really beautifully shot and has over 120 accessible, rustic, delicious recipes. I was just on the heels of baking pies for Thanksgiving and had suffered the slumpy crust, so Gemma shared her pie recipe with me that features full fat Greek yogurt to enrich the dough. Also enclosed is her tasty gooey jam tart that uses this pie crust. Are there other Cookbook Authors or Food Folks you would love to hear from? Drop me a note so I can connect with folks for 2023. Fulton Beer (Season 4 Episode 47)
07/12/2022 Duração: 25minRyan Petz, CEO and co-founder of Minneapolis-based Fulton Beer, led with consistency and quality when it came to making a cannabinoid beverage. Fulton’s Breweries' take on the THC bubbly, “Sparkling THC Water” is available in the taproom and stores. Each bottle of non-alcoholic beverage contains 4.20 mg of THC. The first batch is lime flavored; blood orange is planned next. One major difference between weed bubbles and beer? The beer and hard seltzer industries are highly regulated. Meanwhile, THC manufacturing hardly has any rules in the state of Minnesota. But beer companies like Fulton are used to following rules and applying that mentality to their THC processes.Support the showFollow the Makers of Minnesota on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @MakersofMN. Take a listen and order her cookbook hereNO-BAKE PEANUT BUTTER CRUNCH BARSWhen my daughters came home from college during quarantine, I made a lot of treats. I think it was my way of trying to make their newfound circumstances more fun. Each week I put together a batch of peanut butter bars, experimenting with different ingredients. I would keep a pan in the refrigerator and we would all slice off pieces to nibble on throughout the day. If you just take little bite here and there and don’t take a full bar at once, you are eating less, right? This recipe is the version we all liked best. I love that they are gluten free and dairy free and sweetened with pure maple syrup. They remind me of Special K bars but are made with healthier ingredients. Enjoy!INGREDIENTS:1 1/2 cups natural
