So the Daniel Craig era comes to an end. There wasn't much really happening on the first Disney + day. But it did mark the first appearance on the standard service for Jungle Cruise and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Feel the title is pretty self-explanatory on this one. After an average start, for my money the Purge series has grown into one of the most interesting and flat out best horror franchises going. Locked down and school holidays feels like an apt time to suss out some recent animated films, which are all streaming now. Based on a successful first entry in a crime novel series, The Dry has been a bit of a box office powerhouse - continuing its run even now, following a 1 January release. Here I ponder how the film works as an adaptation, the performances and how it elevates the material to feel cinematic. Ratings System: Longneck of Melbourne Bitter - an excellent film.
