Eastmans' Elevated

In this episode Brian sits down to talk over early season hunts. He recaps his latest Hawaii trip and some lessons learned. In this episode Brian sits down with his buddy Travis Nowotny. Travis just flat out gets it done with his bow on public ground year after year. He is a blue collar guy that puts in the work both in his scouting and hunting. The guys break down what it takes to find that level of consistent success. They go into mindset and planning stalks. They also talk about adapting to the situation you are given. They then discuss the nuances of the stalk and how those micro-decisions play a huge role in getting a good arrow in a buck. This is a great episode and conversation between a couple die hard bowhunters.

In this episode Brian sits down with Mark Livesay, Hilary Lampers and Ryan Lampers at the Western Hunting Summit for a live question and answer. This is part 2 and a totally different group of guys with a different set of questions. The guys talk over strategies for hunts, backcountry meals, and overall performance in the mountains. It makes for a great podcast this week on Eastmans' Elevated.

This episode is a different format where Brian Barney, Ryan Lampers, Hilary Lampers and Mark Livesay sit down to answer live questions at the western hunting summit. Lots of different questions here all about hunting strategy, health, gear and meat care. The team all have different ways they approach their hunts and interesting to hear the different answers. Its a great engaging conversations between some great hunters.

You only live once, better do as many epic adventures as you can. In this episode Brian has his buddy Kip Fowler back on the podcast. Kip is an incredibly talented backcountry hunter. This last year he has gone on some absolute super-adventures. The guys talk over the archery mountain goat he harvested last season. It was an extreme high country bowhunt where Kip gave it his absolute all. After that Brian and Kip dive into his Kodiak Brown bear hunt from this past spring with guide Cole Kramer. Adventure bowhunting is what this episode is all about and you don't want to miss this one.

In this episode Brian sits down with his buddy Dan Solsman. Dan has worked extremely hard to attain a high level of mental toughness. He is driven and has willed himself to be consistently successful on trophy critters on public land. On this episode Brian sits down with his buddy Brandon Purcell. Brandon is one of those guys that consistently harvests public land trophies. First the guys dive into his big archery bull that Brian helped with. Brandon was down on archery but instead of throwing in the towel he committed himself to getting better. They also talk over his mule deer season and hunting bear. Brandon has so much experience chasing spring bears and passes on some valuable tips and tactics. In this episode Brian sits down with Baker Leavitt. Baker resides in the south but often hunts the west. He is a character and tells a great story. The guys talk over Elk hunting where Baker tells a story of what its like to kill an archery bull. He also talks about his fear of horses and a horseback hunt. In this episode Brian sits down with his buddy Daniel Martin. Dan is one of those guys that is extremely successful on public ground. He is a really good bear hunter and has great insight into spring hunting. The guys share over 30 years experience chasing these black bears across the west.
