Eastmans' Elevated

In this episode Brian sits down with Ike Eastman and Mike Glover. Mike is the founder of Fieldcraft Survival, a special forces military veteran and backcountry hunter. The guys talk over his journey into hunting and some of the skills and mindset that he has brought from his military training. Mike Glover is an amazing human and the guys have a great conversation all about the adventure of backcountry hunting.

In this episode, Brian sits down with professional hockey player Brad Marchand. Brad loves western bowhunting, so the guys hit it off right away. He is at the absolute top of his game in an extremely competitive sport. The guys talk about the correlation between hockey, bowhunting and life. They talk about impostor syndrome, confidence and self improvement. This is a fascinating conversation between a couple like minded bowhunters.

This week Brian sits down with Butch Whiting from Kryptek along with Ike Eastman. Butch and Ike are old friends so its a fun episode to listen to. They talk about Kryptek gear, fit, performance, camo patterns and about how the idea of Kryptek started and how the relationship between Kryptek and Eastmans' was forged. In this episode Brian sits down with Willi Schmidt. Willi is the host of Pure Hunting TV. He has a passion for the outdoors and western hunting. The guys start by talking about health and fitness and then get into the 2021 hunting season. They talk about elk hunting, mule deer and whitetails. Willi goes on some awesome adventures and has great insight into what it takes to find success. It's a great live conversation between two passionate big game hunters.

In this episode Brian sits down with Charles Witwam from Howl. Howl is an organization that is fighting for our hunting rights. Howl informs us and allows us to unite and make our voices heard. They take the fight to these battle ground states. HOWL has created a system to send emails to the right people, committees, and law makers at the right time to make a difference for hunters. This is a great organization and great podcast this week on Eastmans' Elevated.

This week Brian has Robby Denning back on the podcast. Robby is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to mule deer, and he gained such a high level of understanding from years of scouting and hunting mule deer. This makes for a great podcast, as the guys hone in on hunting the rut. It's one of the best times to kill a big mule deer, but there is not a lot of information out about it. This podcast solves that issue, as these two muley fanatics dive deep on the muley rut.

In this episode, Brian sits down with Santino Castellanos. Santino is consistently successful with his bow in his hands. The guys go in depth on elk hunting and the challenges that come with it. Then they talk about late season mulies and the keys to getting close. Santino also does a bunch of hunting with his two boys and talks about instilling the passion, love and skills for his boys to find success in bowhunting and life. This is another great back and forth episode between a couple of die-hard bowhunters.

In this episode Ike Eastman sits in with Brian as they talk to Phil Benson from Zamberlan boots. Phil is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to footwear. The guys talk about fit, personal preferences, insoles, break in and more. Phil educates us on boots and shoes and how to find the absolute best pair for western hunting. In this episode, Brian sits down with his buddy Sam Davis. Sam is one of those guys that arrows multiple trophies year after year, and the guys break down his 2021 season. They talk about the great bucks and exceptional bull Sam harvested this past year. Then, they go into detail about how Sam is successful year after year, getting into what they think really makes the difference in producing consistent trophies. There's some great back and forth between a couple like minded bowhunters on this week's episode of Eastmans' Elevated!

In this episode Brian sits down with Chris Toomey. Chris had an epic 2021 season and so the guys break down his process. He harvested a huge buck that he spent a lot of time scouting for. He outsmarted the buck in a tough to hunt area and his tactics are a bit outside the box. The guys also chat about the big bull he harvested. Chris got into some awesome rut action, the kind of stuff we all live for. After the shot the tracking was tough and the guys discuss using onX to help recover game. A great conversation this week on EE.

Edited Episode: In this episode Brian sits down for a solo podcast. He talks about self improvement and goals for the upcoming year, about the different skill sets involved in western hunting and how his goal is to be constantly working on each and every one. Brian breaks down the road map to his success and the work that needs to be put in right now, in the off season. This is a killer solo episode as Brian is charged up for 2022.

In this episode Brian sits down with Michael Alba. Michael has been on the podcast before and has great insight into what it takes to be successful on a DIY hunt. The guys talk about learning new units and consistently finding mature animals. They dive deep on the nuances of the stalk and what moves determine whether you get the shot or not. They cover mule deer, elk and some of Michael's best hunts from last year.

In this episode Brian sits down with Ryan Munsey. The guys shared an elk hunt this past season and used some unconventional tactics. They talk over the hunt, recounting the trials and tribulations.
