    08/05/2017 Duração: 01h09min

The Buzz Beat crew are joined by DIME Magazine contributor, Oliver Maroney, to examine two of his articles. The discussion begins with Oliver's "unofficial" guide to pickup basketball. Oliver shares his thoughts on Briante Weber as he wrote a fascinating piece on Weber and his path to the NBA. The question of whether or not Briante has a future with the Hornets inevitably comes up. The dialogue also touches upon the Hornets' 16-17 season and their prospects moving into the 17-18 season. The episode wraps up with Richie answering your Twitter questions.  Listen to the Buzz Beat Radio on iTunes Listen to the Almighty Baller Podcast Network on iTunes Maroney's Article: The Unofficial Rules of Pickup Basketball from NBA Insiders Maroney's Article: Briante Weber’s ‘New Beginning’ With The Warriors Is Making His NBA Dream Come TrueLearn more about your ad choices. • Hornets’ Playoff Hopes Dashed

    10/04/2017 Duração: 01h28s

The Hornets are officially out of the playoffs with their loss to the Boston Celtics. Richie and Spencer breakdown the past three losses to the Wizards, Heat, and Celtics. They discuss the highlights of those games but focus mainly on what's been causing Charlotte issues — defending the three-point line. They question Clifford's inability or unwillingness to adjust on the fly. The crew also discuss some "On/Off Court" stats in reference to Batum, Kaminsky, Kemba, and Zeller. The combo of Batum and Kaminsky has turned out to be disappointing while the Kemba, Zeller combo has been great. The team's offense runs much smoother with those two on the court and they work the pick and roll game to near-perfection. Spencer throws out a name, one that could seem controversial, that he thinks should be in trade talks this offseason. The Buzz Beat co-hosts look to offseason and where their priorities should lie — the draft, free agency, or the trade market.  Listen to the Buzz Beat on iTunes Listen to the Almighty Baller

The question of what position he plays inevitably comes up. Richie, Spencer, and Max also discuss the potential matchup against the Celtics in the first round of playoffs and how Charlotte would fare. In both games, Charlotte's defense has stepped up and propelled them to back to back wins. This was no more evident in MKG's performance on mid-range master, DeRozan. They also acknowledge Marvin's recent improvement and his presence as a defensive anchor. Lastly, they discuss the most "tradeable" player on the team and Richie shares his hate for the trade machine.  Listen to the Buzz Beat Podcast on iTunes Listen to the Almighty Baller Podcast Network on iTunes Or listen to shows on the Almighty Baller Podcast network on AlmightyBaller.comLearn more about your ad choices.
