ABCP Episode #116
29/11/2010 Duração: 01h26minThis episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by Lastic Man, who probably should have either an E or a P in front of his name, but don't tell the lawyers. Big wins for Incorruptible, Ultimate Spider-Man, Thor: The Mighty Avenger and Taskmaster. Also winning big was the common cold, which soundly defeated Evie - and listener Jen, who soundly defeated Aaron. (post-credits, Aaron narrates his half of a couple of yugioh battles, which did not end well for him.) We bid a fond farewell to Leslie Nielsen, talk a lot about The Boys even though it didn't come out this week, and Aaron invents shoes. ABCP Episode #115
22/11/2010 Duração: 58minThis long-awaited episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by oh hey hello, how have you been in the three weeks since we've done a show? Any graduations, engagements, birth announcements? Really??? That's awesome!!! Yes we are back, after some work travel and music travel and some that was both at once. We unsurprisingly heap unending praise on Spider-Girl, Thunderbolts (except for ONE BAD THING) and Morning Glories, and perhaps somewhat surprisingly enjoy us a lot of Batmans. We also give mad ups to Superman-Batman, which is neither surprising nor unsurprising unless you also read it and know us at all, in which case, duh. There's a discussion about the new Harry Potter movie, and Aaron needs video game recommendations! Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #114.5
07/11/2010 Duração: 01h08minIf you think ABCP only stands for Awesomed By Comics Podcast, you are barking up the wrong tootin' tree! On this week's show, ABCP stand for "Awesomed by Clapping and Pokemon." Aaron is away working on The Ampersands' next album, but is giving all of you the chance to appear on it, by participating in a slightly advanced 3rd grade music lesson. Ta (rest) Ta (rest) Ti Ti Ta (rest). After that, Aaron and Evie and then Aaron again match poke-wits against friend of the show and now FOUR-time guest, Chris Sims from War Rocket Ajax and Comics Alliance. Listen in, as Chris is given the greatest gift of all. ... No, not friendship. An Omastar. Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show! And if by some bizarre chance this happens to be your first episode, then please listen to the previous one (or really, any other at random) to get a better sense of what this here thing is usually like.

ABCP Episode #114
01/11/2010 Duração: 58minThis Halloween episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by the combined forces of Lord Byron, John Stamos and the undead. Major awards this week go to the adorable Ultimate Spider-Man, the super duper adorable Hellboy/Beasts of Burden one-shot, the fierce and surprising Amazing Spiderman, and Tom Fowler's portrayal of Chris and Euge in Deadpool Team-Up. We talk about "Red," the movie that has about as much to do with the comic it was based on as this one does, and alert you that at least one of us will be out of town for the next two weeks, but we'll have at least one special thing with which to hold you over in the mean time. Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #113
25/10/2010 Duração: 01h04minThis episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by Andy Partridge of XTC and the band's seminal 1980 album "Black Sea" produced by Steve Lillywhite, because we're testing a theory. Major awards this week to X-Factor #210, Morning Glories #3, Hulk #26, Loki #1, creative business models, and one of Aaron's asinine conspiracy theories. Warmest welcomes to anyone listening for the first time thanks to Evie's appearance on iFanboy this week; please feel free to go back and listen to as many archived episodes as you'd like, regardless of whether Aaron thinks that's "weird". ABCP Episode #112
18/10/2010 Duração: 56minThis episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by Evie's Birthday, with a special message from her mom! As usual, big wins for The Unwritten and Echo, Bruce Wayne's back before he's gotten back, Aaron can't understand why he doesn't hate Walkin' Supes as much as he probably should, and the new Knight and Squire knocks Evie base over apex and makes her want to shove madam palm and 'er five sisters in the map of tassie, innit? But the book's banging on about faff gives Aaron the habadabs. Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #111
12/10/2010 Duração: 01h20minThis episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you almost entirely by the contents of New York Comic Con. (Comicon? Comic-Con? Spiderman? Spider-Man? Spader-James?) We take a break from our usual format of handing out awards to the week's books, and instead hand out awards to the weekend's events, with a smattering of books sprinkled in. Whoa damn, lightning storm here is NUTS. Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #110
27/09/2010 Duração: 53minThis episode of the Awesomed by Comics Podcast is brought to you by a special new game. Not to give anything away, but you're going to want to listen to this show at 4:07 PM, while re-gripping a badminton racquet. Matt Fraction continues Keiron Gillen's streak of strong Thor showings, Jonathan Hickman's FF continues to bring the intrigue, Judd Winick's Justice League: Generation Lost has some great character moments, Ultimate Spidey showcases Bendis's talent for natural dialogue, while Avengers does the exact opposite, and Moon Knight gets some baaaaaaad news. Also, Aaron is attacked by a kitten. Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #109
20/09/2010 Duração: 01h02minThis very ordinary episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by our new kitten, Bo. Anyone who's ever listened to our show ever should know what we spend a fair amount of time talking about this week. (Boy Bands.) In addition to everyone loving an amazingly creative The Unwritten, Aaron gushes spoilerlessly about Joe the Barbarian, Evie digs the new Power Man, a listener wants us to start reading New Mutants again, and nobody likes bad storytelling timing or whores. Or whores with bad storytelling timing. Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #108
13/09/2010 Duração: 01h17minThis very special episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast, featuring very special guest Chris Sims, is actually brought to you by some new developments at yet ANOTHER podcast. Thor has maybe one of the most successful weeks in the history of this show, with two amazing books out this week. There's some love for Welcome to Tranquility, Ultimate Mystery, the Batgirl/Supergirl teamup, Batman and Robin and some new comic-related video games, but bla bla bla LET'S TALK ABOUT THOR, BABY!! Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #107
07/09/2010 Duração: 59minThis Labor Day episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by trying not to labor very hard, and also the US Open. And speaking of laboring, Taskmaster #1 is awesome. Other accolades go out to One Month To Live, Last Family of Krypton, Secret Six and Black Cat, while things related to hell are burning out their welcome. Aaron is obsessed with a new video game, and Evie saw lots of half-naked Iggy Pop this weekend, which she forgot to directly mention on the actual show but now you know. Also, because we are dumb and forgot to link after we discussed them last week: here are webcomics Awkward Zombie and The Abominable Charles Christopher. ABCP Episode #106
30/08/2010 Duração: 01h52minThis very special episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by Chris Neseman! That's right, the famed podcaster from 11 O'Clock Comics and Around Comics joins us in our studio via wormhole from Chicago, and can be credited/blamed for the existence of Awesomed By Comics in the first place. Amadeus Cho is powerfully awesome, Thor is devilishly great, and Science Dog's bark is better than his bite. We talk about why Scott Pilgrim tanked, and get a recommendation for a web comic that is pretty much a sure bet to devour us whole. Also: Should you let your girlfriend win at video games? Tune in for the definitive answer. Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #105
22/08/2010 Duração: 59minThis episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by DIN-O-SAURS, DIN-O-SAURS, which, hundreds of years ago, were the most. Speaking of Hundreds (wooooo segue!) Ex Machina comes to an end after 50 issues, and there is much oddly vague discussion, so as not to give away the ending for those who read this in trade. Avengers Academy shines, Old Bruce Wayne is a prick, Honey West is super fun, and Israeli snacks are delicious. Also there is an phat beatz. ABCP Episode #104
09/08/2010 Duração: 01h06minThis episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by a question from Aaron: What do you do when you don't feel like reading comics that week? Secret Six inexplicably (and unexplainedly) visits the old west and hijinx ensue, while Sparta and Spidey frustrate, Sweet Tooth hits a soft spot, and The Boys shine even when nothing really happens. Also, what's a 'Reshef?' Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #103
02/08/2010 Duração: 50minThis episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq.We answer some of your drunk-ass discussion questions, and give a lot of love to cats, caterpillars, gods and clowns. We also utter the most shocking four words in the English language, "We miss Greg Land". Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #102
19/07/2010 Duração: 01h02minThis week's episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by crazy two-sport athlete conspiracy theories, sandwiched by appearances of one of music's most recognizable tritones. We literally CANNOT say enough good things about the finale of the Boom! series "Codebreakers" -- because saying any more than we did would give the surprises away, and we are demanding that you read it. Superman hits the road to go be a dick somewhere other than Metropolis, The Stuff of Legend and The Unwritten both deliver great work as usual, we lol at Booster Gold, and the X-Men wrap up what turned out to be a fairly solid event by pointlessly murdering innocent and equally endangered creatures. Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review if you like the show!

ABCP Episode #101
12/07/2010 Duração: 55minThis freshman-level episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by LeBron James, who, after a tortuous cost-benefit analysis, has accepted our offer to produce our show from Florida (suck it, War Rocket Ajax). A giant litter of adorable cartoon dalmatians goes out to Sweet Tooth, Secret Six, the Boys; first issues of Scarlet, Avengers: the Children's Crusade and Thor: The Mighty Avenger; and the final, moving issue of this volume of Demo. We also talk about Louis C.K.'s fabulously awkward new sitcom, and the Fantastic Four's answer to Planned Parenthood. Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review!

ABCP Episode #100
05/07/2010 Duração: 01h27minDudes! We did it! We made it to our centennial episode, which is a totally arbitrary thing to celebrate but AWWW YEAAAHHH. We start off this third season of Awesomed By Comics (50 shows per season, why not?) with a bunch of brand new categories, questions, cat stuff, and a very special musical remembrance of episodes of yore. Likely winners include various Wonder Woman-related things, Unknown Soldier, Thor and Batman Beyond; unlikely winners include Green Lantern and Action Comics. We also debut a new version of the theme song, and wish you a happy snappy Fourth O' July! Tell us what you think on our blog and leave an iTunes review!

ABCP Episode #99
28/06/2010 Duração: 01h01minThis episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by a second consecutive week of Dogen, because we are apparently getting contemplative as we near our centennial. Spidey and the new JLI are the big winners, a surprising amount of love is given to both Batman and Superman, and there's more tits-talk than usual. (But come on. Camden? Really?) Don't forget to send in your 100th episode discussion questions. One more stamp and we all get free sandwiches! Tell us what you think on our blog, visit our show forum, and leave an iTunes review!

ABCP Episode #98
22/06/2010 Duração: 54minThis episode of Awesomed By Comics comes to you from Cacapon (Ka-KAY-pon) State Park in Berkeley Springs, WV, where we came for vacation, went home and came back again. The big winner of the week is the fourth issue of Joe Kelly and Max Fiumara's Four Eyes, which we've waited 13 months for; other good showings come from the family of Spider titles, The Boys, Birds of Prey and Heralds (HER-alds). We also have a good chuckle/tsk at DC's pitch-perfect ironical racial stereotyping. Apologies for any wonky sound quality, as we are sharing a mic on a portable setup in the wilderness that also has WiFi. Also apologies for the lack of Panels of the Week, as we don't have our scanner in said wilderness. Also apologies that this show is two days late, but we on vacation (vay-KAY-shun). Tell us what you think on our blog, and leave an iTunes review!
