Our Star Wars month celebration continues with the 40th anniversary of RETURN OF THE JEDI! Authors Justin Berger and Jamie Benning share details of their NEW book, Return of the Jedi Unauthorized Timeline, out June 1st.    We (Richard and Sarah) then recap Comic-Con Revolution: our Star Wars Trivia panel, book sales, and meeting TIMOTHY ZAHN.    Then it's on to Star Wars news this past week, which unfortunately included sad events. Ray Stevenson passed away on Sunday May 21. Many fans first heard him as the voice of Gar Saxxon on THE CLONE WARS and STAR WARS REBELS, and most recently we all cheered him and his enthusiasm at Star Wars Celebration Europe when he was promoting AHSOKA.    Then Disney announced that the Galactic Starcruiser will journey on its final voyage in September, and we are sad to see this go.   NEW BOOK - Skywalking Through My Fandom available now!! Learn how Carrie Fisher's Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was made!! Our friend, Lavonne Dominguez of Liningup.net, took part in this very special, once-in-a-lifetime experience. She and 5 other LiningUp.net members spent a day in Hollywood pouring cement, blow-torching Carrie Fisher's name-plate, cutting out the star, and signing their names - all while spreading TONS of glitter in and around Carrie Fisher's Star. Augusta Avallone is a treasure-trove of sci-fi costume knowledge, and a talented seamstress! She worked in the costume departments of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Trek Picard S3, and Loki. She also hosts a great panel, "History of Sci-Fi Costumes" which we saw at WonderCon and she tours around to many conventions. Costumes speak to the audience and tell them exactly what you need to know about characters. From natural fabrics and armor to lamé and spandex, science fiction has a rich history in the manner characters are represented. We learn about this history, and dive deep into the costume departments of all the shows she's worked on.   Then, we take a turn and talk about Augusta's second career - as a Burlesque dancer! Alan Fying was a Stormtrooper, Snowtrooper, and a Hoth Soldier in The Empire Strikes Back, and an Imperial Officer in Return of the Jedi.
