To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Caravan Of Courage: An Ewok Adventure, we have a special guest, Mace Towani himself - Eric Walker! We talk with Eric about the behind the scenes stories of Ewok Adventure; the sequel, Ewoks: The Battle For Endor; his new book that journals the making of Ewok Adventure, and, we talk a lot about his transition into music. Eric is a composer and song writer, who has a new CD coming out in December called 'Universal Delight', he also has an independent record label which is always looking for tomorrow's talent. When Galen hurts his leg and can't travel, Virdon and Burke seek refuge in a farm till their friend recovers. The farm is operated by a gruff but decent ape named Polar and his family. Throughout the episode, Pete shows Polar and Anto better farming skills. Polar is receptive to change, but Anto is not. What will happen? Talking Apes TV is the podcast that explores the Planet Of The Apes TV series and why they still stand up after 40 years.  This week we look at the second episode of the Apes TV series titled 'The Gladiators', which aired in 1974.  Plot Summary: Virdon, Burke and Galen stumble into a village led by a chimpanzee prefect, Barlow, who keeps the human populace calm by gladiatorial combat. When Barlow finds the magnetic disc containing the record of the flight of Pete and Alan, they must get it back in order to have any hope of returning home. Galen goes to the village to attempt to retrieve the disc. While he is speaking with the prefect, Virdon and Burke are captured.  Listen for some great conversation and the many historical references to the 1970's in this episode. Just to be forewarned, this is not a review show, but we do break down these Apes episodes so there may be some spoilers. But then again you've had 40 years and a few weeks now to see these.
