On this week's episode, I invite you to kick back and enjoy the sounds of parades and nighttime shows from the Walt Disney World resort. When the theme parks re-open later next month, it will be without parades and nighttime shows, which happen to feature some of the best entertainment in the parks, in many cases. From Festival of Fantasy to Epcot Forever and more, we're reliving these entertainment spectacles on the show this week to help hold us over until such time as these shows hopefully make their return back to the parks.

On this week's show, we're taking a special look at some of the best background music from Walt Disney World. When Walt Disney designed Disneyland, he wanted his guests to feel like they were stepping into a movie and to be able to use the environment of the park to immerse themselves in their own fantasy and wonder and escape the rigors of daily reality. Just like a movie will have a score in the background to evoke emotion, the parks and resorts also have background music to enhance your experience. Vern Schermerhorn joins me back on the show this week to talk about some of our favorite background music from Walt Disney World.

I'm joined, this week, by one of my friends and long-time listeners Vern Schermerhorne to talk about our favorite first-time Disney parks and resorts experiences. It's amazing and, in some ways, bittersweet how, as many times as you walk down Main Street and get a glimpse of the castle, there's nothing quite like that first time. It's something that I lament to myself on my numerous trips to Walt Disney World, but it's also something that will resonate with me for the rest of my life.
