Today, Becky and I are going to head into The Wynners Circle to talk about the mom you DON'T want to be! Join us! No matter how perfect a mom may look on the outside, every now and then she turns into the cranky mom that she never wanted to be. In her new book, The Cranky Mom Fix: Get a Happier, More Peaceful Home by Slaying the “Momster” in All of Us, popular author Becky Kopitzke shares how motherhood brought out more than cuddles, snuggles, and blissful times of play; it brought out the worst in her: the Momster! Unafraid to be authentic and share her own experiences, Kopitzke shows readers that life can be much more than living in the cranky zone. Moms will be relieved to learn from The Cranky Mom Fix that cranky mom doesn’t have to stay. The Wynners Circle with Jeane Wynn
24/05/2019 Duração: 01h00sOn Friday's Wynner Circle I talk with author Amanda Barratt whose latest book My Dearest Dietrich is quickly becoming the novel most likely to be rushed to the top of your summer TBR stack! Join us to hear more about her behind-the-scenes, and what most surprised her about her characters in writing this epic novel. “When I first heard the name Maria von Wedemeyer, I wondered what kind of woman would capture the heart of such a brave and brilliant man as Dietrich Bonhoeffer. In writing My Dearest Dietrich, I set out to find their story. What I discovered went beyond all expectations. I discovered a man willing to give his life for the cause of truth who also wrote passionate letters of love and longing to his fiancée during months of imprisonment. I discovered a woman who lost the two men she loved most as a result of war but who took the risk of becoming engaged to a man shrouded by danger because of his actions against the Nazi regime. It's a deeply profound and relevant story that asks questions of us

FightWrite - Going Commando
30/04/2019 Duração: 21minQuestions on today's show: How do/did people carry weapons? What sounds do they make when wielded? (I say that you can hear the chamber turn in a pistol, but it's more correct to say revolver.) How can a woman overcome size and strength differential to beat a man? (I say judo is a reference for takedowns but it's more correct to say it's a good reference for throws.) Best underwear for battle!!!

Publishing Laine: 4 Types of Publishing - Which is Best for You?
07/11/2018 Duração: 01h01minI love filet mignon. Seriously! My favorite type of meat. Maybe one of the reasons I like it so much is that I don't have it very often. If filet mignon were the only option of meat for me, though, I would likely get sick of it before too long. And someone who doesn't eat meat at all would never want to eat at my house at all. An option, any option no matter how good it is, only works for part of the population and only at certain times. (I'd hate to have filet mignon for breakfast! Or dessert!) So, in the publishing industry, there are more options. Through this program, you can better learn which one will work for you, depending on your goals and your type of project. Who knows, you might even find the perfect place for your book during this Publishing Laine hour.

Chat Noir Mystery and Suspense—Author Chautona Havig
05/09/2018 Duração: 32minHi! I’m Chautona Havig. (for those who care, that’s Shuh-TONE-uh HAVE-ig). Yeah. Just work with me here. I should have used a pseudonym, but when you grow up with a name like Chautona, it kind of sticks. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. ~ Hebrews 10: 23–25 Those aren’t just words on a page for me–they’re why I write. I write to encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ. The stories I create are to make people laugh, cry, question, consider. They’re for you. When the world screams for hope, I try to point you to the true Source of hope–Jesus. Sometimes life in the church no longer seems a refuge from the pain of a self-serving world around us, but through my stories, I try to point you to the only Refuge that can truly help
