The Diesel line of cigars has been a very successful brand for Forged Cigars and their long standing partnership with Rabbit Hole Distillery. The Diesel brand started out as a catalog only brand for Cigar International, but was moved under General Cigars in 2017. The cigars have been produced by AJ Fernandez since the beginning and still produces them to this day. Their have been several limited editions that have been produced annually under that name Founder’s Collection and for 2025, the new release is called the Raceking. These limited editions have the binder tobacco aged in whiskey barrels that were used by Rabbit Hole for their whiskey of the same name. The Raceking was introduced at the 2025 PCA Trade show in New Orleans, LA. We will take a look at Altadis U.S.A. through Davide's eyes and look at his vision for the company going forward.

Black Label Trading Company was founded by James and Angela Brown and is based out of their factory, Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua.  Most cigar smokers know them well as James is one of the hottest cigar blenders around at them moment, especially from Nicaragua.  In 2015, James created the Black Works Studio, or sometimes called BLK WKS, which was like a laboratory for him to experiment with different tobaccos and vitolas in a limited supply. One of the first cigars to be released from Black Works Studio was the Killer Bee.  The Killer Bee was a unique cigar that had a distinctive cap.  The cigar is wrapped with a luscious Connecticut Maduro wrapper from Ecaudor, but the cap also included a sliver of natural Ecuadorian Connecticut shade tobacco wrapped around it giving it the bee stripes effect. On Episode 165 of Prime Time Jukebox, we kick off the 2025 Battle of the Bands Competition. This year, we pivot from albums to individual records. Hector Alfonso of Espinosa Cigars and John McTavish of Developing Palates are once again back and participating. The concept works as follows: Dave, Coop, Hector, and John will each pick eight songs. The selections will occur via a “Draft.” Once the albums are selected, each participant will seed them, place them into brackets and you will decide who should move on. We will go through each round on Twitter, until there is a winner from each of the four brackets. From that point, the four bracket winners will square off in a final four. The tournament commences later this month with two matchups a day to vote on. Each vote will be eligible to compete to win one of three special prizes that will be announced.
