Reproductive Left, hosted by Abbie Strout, tackles a different topic each month that influences our sexual and reproductive health. Previous topics have included abortion stigma, the choice to be childfree, reproductive coercion, and sex-positive feminism. The show ends with Ask Mabel where Terry Marley-DeRosier, WHNP or Lindsey Piper, WHNP answer sexual and reproductive health questions! Produced in collaboration by WERU-FM and Mabel Wadsworth Women's Health Center. New episodes the first Tuesday of each month.

Providing Abortion Care with Dr. Jamila Perritt

She spoke about her experience as an abortion provider, shared her story along with stories of the women she takes care of and highlighted why reproductive justice is what we all need to be working towards. Jamila Perritt MD MPH FACOG is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who specializes in Family Planning and Reproductive Health. Dr. Perritt is a graduate of Howard University College of Medicine and completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She completed a Family Planning Fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. During her fellowship training, Dr. Perritt received a Masters Degree in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Landscape of Reproductive Health in Ghana with Victoria Yeboah

The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) that empowers young people through academic coursework, leadership training, and networking. It started in 2014 and this year, the Fellowship has provided 1,000 young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa with the opportunity to hone their skills at a U.S. college or university with support for professional development after they return home. The Fellows range in age from 25 to 35 and have established records of accomplishment in promoting innovation and positive impact in their organizations, institutions, communities, and countries. The Fellows represent a diverse group of leaders from 48 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa and 50 percent of Fellows are women. Each fellow is connected with a local leader or organization for mentorship during the program

LGBTQ Health Q & A with Lindsey Piper, WHNP

We were thrilled to open our doors during Pride to give our community the chance to see our center and to meet our healthcare providers and staff. We offered an "LGBTQ Health Questions and Answers" program and recorded it for Reproductive Left.
