The race to the finish line takes a dramatic turn at the tail end of this week’s design challenge. Jimbo’s facekini was one big red herring as Alexis made pinkie promises with LaLa Ri that ended up being middle fingers, Jessica continued to give a masterclass in staying under the radar, and all signs pointed to a much dreaded bottom two spot for Kandy Muse. When Nicky Doll’s boots aren’t quite made for assassinating, it looks like curtains for Kandy. The queens are making a scene this week, and we’re not even talking about the challenge itself. The true crime improv challenge itself is a slickly produced step up, and while no one is dead on arrival, there were likely culprits for bottom two. The winner of this week’s runway pageant was, in the words of Alyssa Edwards, not on this stage, and Jorgeous punches the clock more than the ghost as our guest lip sync assassin. The season of the Sasha Colby meet and greet ended, appropriately enough, with a Sasha Colby crown and scepter. Trailblazing Portland drag legend Darcelle XV passed away on March 23rd at the age of 92 after a Guinness World Record making career in drag. We were beyond fortunate to interview Darcelle (aka Walter Cole) back in 2019, along with Anthony Hudson aka Carla Rossi (and co-host of Gaylords of Darkness podcast), as part of the Listen Up Podcast festival. Art imitates life this week as the Top 6 mounts this season's polished and prophetic Rusical "Wigloose"! We have much to say about the unfortunate inspiration for the challenge but we also have a lot of love for Salina EsTitties, even if we can't agree on those gloves. We get some mini therapy sessions with workroom Ru while Loosey's breaking point proves to be less entertaining than Mistress thinks and morphs into one of the more unfortunate edits of the series. Everyone shines in the performance, but none more than the music and vocals themselves.
