In episode 10, the gals crack open Season 3 of the Netflix comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. From “Lemonading” and “Big Naturals,” to a peacock named Debra Winger and a baby named Linda, Season 3 is totes unpacked and it’s more fun than touching butts!

This week, everyone is talking about David Lynch’s Twin Peaks reboot on Showtime and Poptarts is no exception. In episode 9, “Twin Peaks," Emily is enthralled and can’t wait to continue the mysterious journey next Sunday. But Callie’s confusion around the new narrative set 26 years after the original supernatural soap concluded is leaving her wondering whether she’ll follow Lynch back into the wilds of Washington.

Lizz Winstead is a comedian, activist, and author who co-created The Daily Show, Air America Radio and most recently The Lady Parts Justice League: A cabal of comics who use pop culture and digital media to sound the alarm about the erosion of reproductive rights. On this Ep, Lizz joins the gals in the booth to talk Trump, #resistance, and the persuasive powers of comedy.

In Episode 7, "The Handmaid’s Tale!" the gals dig deep into the new Hulu Series. We make a case for why the show is most definitely feminist, dive into the era in which the original novel was written, and discuss how the project is eerily relevant given the political climate we’re living in today.

In Episode 6, "The Get Down!," the hosts examine season two of the Netflix hip-hop series through a feminist lens. They discuss some of the unheralded women who were making moves at the dawning of the rap game, and break down the systematic sexualization of the series' only major female character, Mylene Cruz.

To celebrate the release of BUST's brand new April/May 2017 issue (on stands now!) we've released a special bonus episode of our Poptarts podcast in which managing editor Emily Rems reads one extra excellent feature story from the magazine. In "Great Expectations" by Marisa Crawford, the author examines 30 years of abortion on film, from Dirty Dancing to Grandma.

In Episode 3, "Get Out!," the hosts examine the phenomenon of writer/director Jordan Peele's racially-charged thriller through a feminist lens. Both Callie and Emily are white ladies in interracial/intercultural relationships, so this movie hit close to home. And both have lots to say about how the film speaks to the female experience of enduring microaggressions and navigating bad vibes in a sexist world.

In Episode 2, "Feud!," the gals dig deep into the new FX show. The roots of the epic war between Hollywood heavyweights Joan Crawford and Bette Davis is dredged up in all its dirty glory, before the hosts segue into celebrating other showbiz beefs, including Bea Arthur vs. Betty White, The Roxanne Wars, and Mariah Carey vs. JLo.

In this episode, hosts Emily Rems and Callie Watts discuss how famous women have been speaking out against president Trump and his policies. This segment is followed by "Whatcha Watchin'?" a recurring feature in which Emily and Callie dish on all the pop culture delicacies they've consumed over the past two weeks.
