Who are we inviting to our table?

What we do matters, but James reminds us that what we say also has immense importance.

James was not writing to people to tell them how to be saved, he was writing to believers about how to live as those who are saved.

James 2:1 "...how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others?"

As believers we need to be intentional about what we say (or type) and make sure to listen on purpose.

When temptations come, what is our response? How can we tell if it's actually a test from God?

As the early church faced persecution, James encouraged them to approach God with humility and faith.

As we begin a deep dive into the book of James, we are encouraged to consider what we are doing on earth and how we are doing it.

God placed us into community for a reason and a purpose.

God's plan from the start was to set things right. Even the devil couldn't see the strategy before Jesus did what he came to do.

God's strategies are for redemption and restoration.
