This project was about the case for the Fight for $15 movement. We had to create a podcast explaining our own thoughts and opinions on what we think. This project allowed us to ask questions on this movement to our piers,allowing us to see other peoples views on this topic.

For this project, we created a podcast titled the Food and Labor podcast regarding the Fight for $15 movement, which is raising wages for workers of all phases (fast-food workers, health-care workers, child-care workers, and college professors) and allowing them the right to a union. Overall, we all agreed that we support the fight for $15 movement.

This is a podcast about the Fight for $15 and how it evolved from fast food workers to other low wage workers and getting the $15 minimum wage for all.

Discussion of the Fight for $15 debate

We state our position on the Fight for 15 movement and discuss opinions.

We have discussed political ideologies and tied it in with the recent election. We started off with definitions of the political ideologies and what we grew up knowing about these ideologies. We talked about the difference between mainstream ideologies and ones that are not so popular but very promised.

Hamilton carves a path for not only musical lovers, or history lovers, but for young adults. Hamilton brings popular culture to life on stage by incorporating references to well-likes, common artists, such as the one and only, Eminem. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the rap god, fell in love with two very different art forms growing up: Hip-hop and Broadway. He combined these two in a fashion that changes the way Broadway will be viewed forever. He opened up the doors to young adults by creating something that they are able to follow and understand. Hamilton will continue to influence new generations as it revolves around something that will never change: history.

This podcast discusses about the concept of immigration that has impacted the United States. Several types of research from the songs in the ʺHamiltonʺ musical, and the past and present events of immigration are given in the podcast. All of this information is discussed about from the perspectives of each student in which each student attempts to support the idea that immigration is the reason for the existence of America as it is today.

Our group had one major question ʺHow did segregation/desegregation in the 20th century impact Lin Miranda's casting in Hamilton?ʺ We broke it down into three questions. First one was about how blackface segregation black people in theater/media. Second one consisted of how black people rose up in theater despite racism. Last question dealt with how important, racially speaking, was the all non-white casting of Hamilton, directed by Lin Manuel Miranda.

This project consists of an analysis on the stance on immigration throughout the creative masterpiece entitled, “Hamilton The American Musical.” This analysis overlooks Hamilton’s potential views on immigration through a historian’s and through the musical’s point of view. Taking a glimpse of each perspective and discussing Hamilton’s overall thoughts on this specific topic.

PSC 110-160(AMERICAN GOVERNMENT) students talk upon the 3rd party candidate coverage of the presidential election. They bring up points such as how the coverage of the 3rd party candidates is limited, how this limitation is affecting their poll numbers, and also suggestions as to how to improve this limited coverage of the 3rd party candidates.
