Happy Halloween everyone! The only spooky thing about this episode is the poltergeist in my recording device that made me lose last week's recording! This week Flo and Carra encounter terrible technical difficulties as they try to discuss Buffy the Vampire Slayer S2E5 "Reptile Boy" and Parks and Recreation S2E11 "Tom's Divorce."  I get a pep talk from my cat, Flo reads aloud the Wikipedia entry on betel nuts, and we discuss vampire biology, Flo's city hall job, New Zealand, and the hideous roots of capitalism and patriarchy. There are no visual aids this week. 

Find out what happens when Flo and Carra drink coffee before discussing Buffy the Vampire Slayer S2E4 "Inca Mummy Girl" and Parks and Recreation S2E10 "Hunting Trip."  In this episode we discuss Gil Birmingham, Tom Haverford's package, rubber cement, and how mummies can hear us. Flo and Carra discuss Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1E7 "Angel," and Parks and Recreation S2E1"Pawnee Zoo."  This episode of Parks and Recreation is one of Flo's favorite episodes!  Topics covered include tiny tendrils, games to play in blood puddles, vampire biology, the violences of the human and nonhuman animal divide, mechanical pencils and animatronic penguin sex.

Join Flo and Carra as they discuss Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1E8 "I Robot, You Jane," and Parks and Recreation S2E2 "The Stakeout."  Flo sums up so much when she says, "Buffy doesn't wear a lot, Xander gets jealous...".  This episode was recorded on the very day that Prince died and though we did not know that Prince had died during this recording, we spoke a lot about Prince, clit piercings, and Jenny Calendar's prior dancing career with him. Other topics covered include the many lives of Jenny Calendar, jacking in and off, chiropracty, fire eaters, smoking related accidents, smell and memory, hernias and hunger. 

In this week's Buffy Recreation, Flo and Carra discuss Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 1 Episode 6 "The Pack," and Parks and Recreation Season 1 Episode 6, the season finale.  Technical difficulties ensue. Topics covered include insensitive cultural appropriation, rape culture, dodge ball, pegging, fannies, random hyena attacks on an unhappy family, and the awfulness of patriarchy. 

Enjoy Buffy Recreation Episode 5 in which we discuss Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 1 Episode 5 "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date" and Parks and Recreation Season 1 Episode 5 "The Banquet." We can't believe how interrelated they are!
