2 Corinthians 12:7-10 - We should never forget this fact from the Scriptures: Paul/Shaul, realized that he (Shaul) was where he was because of the power and grace of God. There was nothing in him to brag about. In the scriptures Paul stated that he would rather boast in the Lord and about his weaknesses. Immediately after Passover (first night) comes the celebration of First Fruits. A celebration that is usually ignored by many people. We finish the series by tying it all together. We go through the first 4 messages and add on the final 2 phrases: unwavering, without hypocrisy. We continue in chapter 24 of the Book of Acts. Today dealing with verses 14-16. Here we see Shaul (Paul) continuing his testimony before Roman governor Felix. Paul is saying that despite the fact that the leadership considers him and other followers of Yeshua as a sect (a group of people with particular beliefs, different from them), in fact Paul's beliefs are the same as their beliefs. In this section we deal with the resurrection of the dead, showing that Paul's beliefs are consistent and scriptural. We continue with our studies in the Book of Acts, chapter 23. This time we dig deeper by trying to relate it (in spots) to present day world activities as well as how those activities affect us and how we should react. The Torah Reading (Sh'mot) is from Exodus 1:1 to 6:1. We are introduced to Moses (Moshe), his birth, his life and forced departure from Egypt, his new life in Midian and his calling to go back to Egypt. A person might think that Moses eagerly embraced his calling. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. When Moses was confronted by a Holy God, unlike his past in Egypt, now he is unsure of himself and recognizes his sinful life. Even asking God to choose someone else. Continuing through the Book of Acts, Chapter 23, part 2, we dig into more details. This sermon was given by Messianic Rabbi Frank Davis during our Saturday Shabbat Service on December 18, 2021. 

We start the next chapter of the Book of Acts, chapter 23. Here we find Shaul (Paul) finishing up his testimony before the Sanhedrin and creating controversy in the process. We also find Shaul receiving marching orders for his future from Yeshua himself in a nighttime visitation. Paul also is transported to Caesarea to save his life and also testify before the Roman regional governor, Felix.
