Boy oh boy oh BOY is this a fun movie to talk about. Musician and Modern Superior stablemate Casey Lyons scared me silly with the greatest werewolf movie of them all, An American Werewolf in London. I love the movie, and the two of us dug out some nice meat that was left on the bones of this 1981 horror comedy classic.

It's back to cases, as we return to the setting of the very first episode of our show, a haunted house. but The Haunting might be the best looking horror film ever made - Director Robert Wise certainly aims for that, pulling every great camera and editing trick he learned working on films like Citizen Kane. Peter Kuplowsky chose this, and he might be the most enthusiastic film scholar and programmer in the world. The answer is most likely probably maybe yes to both. Now listen, and decide for yourself!

It's not every day that someone invents an entirely new monster movie genre, and it's even less frequent when that monster turns out to be Vincent Gallo. Film and TV writer and podcaster Corey Atad decided I needed to watch the entirely odd genre riff Trouble Every Day, by Director Claire Denis. And man was he RIGHT! This is a great, deep, weird horror gem, and our conversation got equally weird, great and deep as a result. Enjoy!

My guest is the Super Terrific Super Delightful Super Amazing Alia Miller. Alia co-hosts two other podcasts, What She's Having (RomComs!), and Modern Superior's own Super Zero! (Comic Book Movies!). Sometimes a guest really outdoes themselves. I knew when I invited him that multihyphenate talent Sam Agro (comic book writer/artist/film industry pro) would pick a humdinger of a movie, but WHOAH. Getting to watch The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and then being able to talk in such depth with Sam has been a true highlight of our first season. After our HIGHLY controversial debut episode I was delighted to be able to talk about a J-Horror movie (maybe THE J-Horror movie) that's actually made in Japan.
