Lee Cockerell is the former Executive Vice President of Operations for the Walt Disney World® Resort. "As the Senior Operating Executive for ten years Lee led a team of 40,000 Cast Members and was responsible for the operations of 20 resort hotels, 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, a shopping & entertainment village and the ESPN sports and recreation complex in addition to the ancillary operations which supported the number one vacation destination in the world." One of Lee's major and lasting legacies was the creation of Disney Great Leader Strategies which was used to train and develop the 7000 leaders at Walt Disney World. Travel is in Andres' blood. He was the first from either side of his family to be born in the US, to Colombian parents. He grew up speaking Spanish at home and visiting South America every year. His connection to Japan began fortuitously when he signed up for a Japanese literature class while studying at Columbia University in New York. He ended up loving the course so much that he decided to start studying the Japanese language, which ultimately become a lifelong passion. In 2005, he decided to move from New York City to Tokyo to fully immerse myself in the Japanese culture and language. Christina Soto likes to say "Live your best life today- Cancer or No Cancer" and that's exactly what she has done. She is a a two-time survivor of stage IV Hodgkin Lymphoma and so in order to get her life back she decided to come up with her own cancer game plan and focus all of her attention away from her sources of pain. She continuously told herself that she was feeling strong and that her body was healing. The more she started to do this, the more alive she felt. She and her partner decided to quit their jobs, sell everything they owned – except what they could fit in their suitcases – start a business and travel the world. This decision was one of the best decisions in her life as she was as happy as she could be, and living out her dreams, but she couldn’t stop thinking about all of her fellow cancer warriors out there who were most likely struggling with the same things she had, and finding little help to overcome them. Today's conversation is with Norwegian Ivorian Elisabeth Redse. She spent three months in London, England and nine months in France before the age of two, as her parents’ missionary training and French courses took us there.She then moved to the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire (RCI) at the age of 2 and then lived there for over 10 years between 1985 and 1998, divided in three terms with a couple of furloughs to Norway.
