    11/02/2016 Duração: 36min

I was born and raised in a small town called Deerfield Beach, Florida just north of Fort Lauderdale. I moved to New York in 2012 to make my dreams of working at a global magazine come true with no precious journalism experience. It certainly wasn't easy, but after building my portfolio by taking any job I could get (including unpaid internships after receiving an MBA). I landed my first full time position at Real Simple as the Fashion Assistant. During my time there I also was able to contribute to Red Carpet Fashion Awards and Essence Magazine. After my time at Real Simple I moved on to Instyle where I currently report on breaking fashion, beauty, and celebrity news. It's fun to meet so many talented stars and to be the first to report what's new, but the most rewarding part is being able to use my voice to help startups and to educate our readers to make them more empowered consumers.
