Ladies and gents, I’m back. We are not done with the year yet, so that means I have one more episode to close season five of 120 Moments Podcast and now Radio Show. Since the inception of this radio show (podcast when it started), I featured 55 tracks as Big Moment in the show. I highlighted them as Big Moments because I really enjoyed them in that particular month. Sort of like my favorite tune of the month, or tune of the month. This year I decided to bring all of those beautiful tracks together and play them for you as we mark the 5th year of this journey (excluding our absence between August 2020 - December 2021) and close the year in style. Also, I must say that Alastor, with various collaborations and the All Living Things project, Local Dialect, and Estiva was definitely among some of my favorite artists in these last 5 years. I call it an obsession. The reason being is that music, especially electronic dance music, has been a massive part of pretty much my whole life. It is very hard to imagine a day that goes by without me listening to something in the genre. As you may already know, ATB’s “Two World” album was a very important album to me. It was the album that introduced me to another sound of electronic music, something that truly spoke to my heart. And then moving forward from “Two Worlds” I came across, yet other albums, that changed everything again on my journey and played an even greater role in my musical taste and in many ways in my technical DJ skills. The Magik Series and In Search Of Sunrise (1-7) Series was by far the greatest thing that ever happened in those earlier years days. These mix compilation albums mixed by no other than Tiësto himself became my University. I studied those albums like a scientist. Hello and welcome! We are back with our musical journey after a long and much anticipating 17 months. I’m so excited to be back sharing some of my personal favorite tracks in this 2-hour mix format. I started this back in 2017 (2005) in the attempt to keep music alive in my life, and by doing so sharing with you. To be back is a great privilege and honor, and to have you with me on this journey is surreal. To get back on track I decided to bring you the most exciting yearly episode, the Classics Edition. Since we were absent in 2020, I decided to combine the two last editions into one, with 6 hours of pure joy of oldies. And this year I wanted to do something a bit different. I’ve always been a fan of the New York House Music scene from the late 90s early 2000s since I was a teenager. So in this edition, I will play some of the most beautiful House Anthems that defined the House scene in New York City in the late 90s, early 2000s. The original is from OPUS III, a group from the early 90s in which Kirsty Hawkshaw was a member. In her 2005 solo album ‘Meta-Message’ she featured Fine Day with a beautiful remix by James Holden.
