This was an outtake from the recording sessions from my third album with the band "Defiance" back in 1991 (album of the same name was released in June 1992).

The Indiana jones theme played first in the lowest octave, then up an octave, then the tracks merged and both octaves synched to play the same time. Played on helix zephyr with chris sands medium nylon strings.

When I originally learned this I used clawhammer tuned to double D. Then I learned it in open G 3-finger picking style. Now I'm trying it again with clawhammer after more than 30 years. It's coming back to me and I still think it's amongst the prettiest tunes ever written. The story goes that Sheebeg, Sheemore was the blind harpist's first composition in 1691. It's meaning is "Little Mountain, Big Mountain" and was named for a location where a battle between fairy peoples allegedly took place.

A version from tab by John Bullard from his Bach on the Banjo book and CD. I now have 104 measures out of 136 memorized. Hopefully will be able to play it all well some day. This version is not current, but representative of what I have done so far.

The theme of the ballet Coppelia adapted for a duet banjo/guitar

After posting a fast version of Dry and Dusty, here's a slowed up one on the little gourd banjo. The title insinuates struggles, perhaps relating to the Dust Bowl era, since the Morrison brothers most credited with this tune came from Arkansas.
