The underground trance scene is thriving right now, with incredible releases dropping one after another. The sound of this makes me remember why I fell in love with trance music three decades ago! Here’s a fresh slice of that world, straight from my DJ oven.

After months of quite intense episodes, this time we're diving into a deeper, darker, and more laid-back progressive and techno sound that really locks into the groove (with a few unexpected twists, of course). Enjoy!

This month, we have an outstanding showcase of the 'Raw Trance' sound, featuring music from some of my current favourite producers like Mikkel Rev, Asca, Omformer, Oprofessionell, Whirloop, Sioc, Alan Backdrop, Lucinee, and more. I'm delighted to see the rise of this raw, deep, and hypnotic sound, which truly represents the essence of underground trance right now.

This episode continues to blend raw, deep, and hypnotic sounds, full of emotional trance vibes and frisky hard grooves. I think it's safe to say it perfectly highlights where I am musically at the moment.

In this episode, we shift gears towards the trancey soundscapes I promised last time. Trance is one of the most diverse music genres, spanning many different sub-genres and styles. Today, I'd like to highlight a specific, emerging sound that is fast-paced, heads-down, and sits somewhere between early 90s trance and the psychedelic scene. We call it Raw Trance, and this is where the most forward-thinking and underground trance currently is, in my opinion. Enjoy!

Continuing with the theme of the previous episodes, this edition of Rave Podcast is all about the exploration of techno soundscapes. The first half features a deep and hypnotic trancey sound, while the second half showcases some serious, pounding grooves. I absolutely love this sound at the moment, and I hope you are too! If you're a trance-head, no worries, a trance-focused episode will be coming soon too :-)

This episode is all about proper Techno: groovy, slamming, heads-down, and sometimes melodic too. I feel that nowadays many people use the word ‘techno’ to describe something entirely different, sometimes they call progressive house tunes ‘techno’, sometimes trance tracks are mislabeled as ‘techno’, and there is, of course, a whole ‘melodic techno’ thing which rarely does anything to do with techno. So enjoy this proper, real Techno mix (with a couple of trancey tracks).

The March episode of Rave Podcast is here, and this time we start with banging 140 BPM straight away! A lot of hard grooves in the first half and a cosmic trance towards the end.

The February podcast is here, bringing you a lot of heads-down grooves. This is the kind of sound and the tempo I really like now, and I hope you do too!
