For episode 131 we did a discography ranking and discussion of one of our favorite bands - Immortal. There was only one way to do this properly and that was to tap into the grim and frostbitten spirit of Blashyrkh by adorning our faces with the war paint of old and channeling the Northern Chaos Gods. There was an ice storm across the country the day we recorded this and I think this was no coincidence. The final conclusion to our Death Discography series. On this one we give our opinions and ranking of the final Death album - The Sound of Perseverance as well as some final thoughts on the discography as a whole. Then we have an interview with Richard Christy who played drums on The Sound of Perseverance and finish things out with thoughts from Jason Hundey (One of the Co-hosts for the great Requiem Metal Podcast). Jason talked about the discography as a whole, what makes Death special, the importance of Symbolic and The Sound of Perseverance to him, Chuck's lyrics on those albums, and a lot more. After a short break were back with more Death! This time we're talking about Individual Thought Patterns & Symbolic and have interviews with Andy LaRoque and Gene Hoglan! Andy played on ITP and is the long time guitarist for King Diamond. Gene played on both ITP and Symbolic and had a ton of great stories and info about that period and Chuck so stay tuned for that at the end of the episode.
