Remark Presents The Remarkable Podcast.

For this podcast I thought I would revive an old favorite progressive house mix of mine entitled Remember.  For those of you who were clubbing in the "hey day" of the mid-90s and early 2000s, this will certainly make you remember  and relive some of the amazing music going on during that time. Epic breakdowns, sultry vocals, and layered productions created chemistry like no other.  So take a listen and let the music bring back the memories...

The name says it all...this month's edition of the Remarkable Podcast is an adventure into the post-3 AM hour.  Dark, brooding, and most importantly, tribal--this mix from 2001 is filled with drums, rhythm, and psychedelic reverberations.  It even contains some classic Orlando anthmes from the 1990s.  One of my favorite mixes, I hope that it makes you feel or do something Dirty.

Summer 2007 is here...and this mix is designed to make you smile while in the sun with a cold beer in hand. Programmed with relaxation and soul in mind, Poolside is guaranteed to make you smile and have fun.  It's one of my favorite mixes and still holds true to its sound--even seven years after it was recorded.  Enjoy!

Described as an "energetic jolt of amazing melodies, slamming vocals, and killer beats", Shock is quite intense for this initial joint DJ venture between myself and Brian Maier.  We both selected our own tracks, and programmed quite the creation.  We dabble with progressive mostly but even venture into breakbeat with a dark and dirty twist.  It's quite a ride...or quite a Shock.

Happy Spring everyone.  This month's April podcast brings you Chemical, an intense mix from the summer of 2005.  This mix is a hybrid of typical Remark energy and many dark, brooding techno gems.  A personal favorite, I think it's a great way to get your spring started!  Now crank up the tunes...

This mix is one of my favorite mixes I have ever created. It really showcases my sound in a way that represents what I want to bring to the dance floor--as well as the energy and vibe that I always want to strive to create. A mix from 2004 will kick off the February podcast. Entitled Reserved and inspired by my former residency at BazzaarLounge, this mix is designed to showcase my sound from the beginning of the evening to the end. It begins fairly mellow, then builds up through house, explodes into progressive, and comes down with some tribal-tech grooves.

Well 2007 gets started with banging new Remark mix! Eclipse begins rather dark and brooding, yet ends up skyrocketing into complete non-stop energy and groove. Designed to be played during the peak of a party, I'm sure you will find Eclipse satisfies. Enjoy, and Happy New Year!

This month's Remarkable Podcast brings you Evidence of Evolution, a mix I did a few years ago with one of my best friends, Anthony Lado.  Unlike my other club music mixes, this one is definitely more jazz and tech-house influenced, ideal to play in the background at a party or to chill to while having wine with friends.  Listening to it brings a smile to my face every time I hear it, and I hope it has the same effect on you

This month features part two of my "Best of Remark" anthology.  Part one, featured on last month's Remarkable podcast, received so much fantastic feedback! Thank you everyone for listening in and enjoying the amazing tunes!  Yes all of these songs do bring back so many great memories. It certainly was the golden era of house music in Orlando.

Hold on folks, I'm breaking out the archives! After popular request, I'm showcasing my "Best of Remark" series this month and next.  This is the first part, 1991 through 1995.  These were the songs that "made me who I am" as a DJ--the high-energy vocal tracks from the 1990s that created a foundation and DJ passion that would drive me until this day.  So enjoy these classic, nostalgic Remark tunes, they are some of my favorites for sure.

Here's a mix from a few years ago called Glamour.  I find Glamour to be one of my sexiest mixes, as if it isn't obvious by the skin I'm showing on the cover...ha!  The mix starts off smooth and easy, then continues to build as the rhythms get more intense and the sound grooves from big to dark to loud.  One of my favorite late-night creations...

On July 22, I had the pleasure of returning to something I know very well--the radio! My friends at EDM Sound System were kind enough to host me playing for their show on WREK 91.1 FM. I recorded the two hour show and am now posting it as a podcast. The show also features an interview with the duo Deepsky, who played in Atlanta that night. Hope you guys enjoy the mix!

The Remarkable Summer mix of 2006 has arrived.  It's called Vital.  Certainly what you'd expect to hear from me--exhilarating, rousing, and intense.  Filled with peaks of techno-buildups and valleys of rumbling basslines, if I had to use one word to describe this mix I'd say "wow".  I hope you too will enjoy this: Vital.  The Remark Summer Sound, 2006.

Summer is upon us, and I thought it would be appropriate to publish an uplifting mix from last year. Start is a feel-good mix, with plenty of vocals and bright energy. I planned it with the intention that one would listen to it when starting the day or starting the night--it's perfect for playing on a bright sunny afternoon or for blasting in the car on your way out to a club. Ah, a classic Remark mix! I think the name says it all. This mix has always been a favorite with many of my friends, and I figureds probably the most intense mix I have ever made, filled with heavy bass, screeching sounds, and treble gains. Just like the name implies, it was mastered to be turned up loud. Guaranteed to get you energized and moving, Volume is sure to satisfy.

This month I decided to post one of my favorite mixes, entitled Artwork. I'm very fond of it because I feel it truly represents my sound. Every track has vocals, and it's very stimulating and energetic. The dynamic soundscape ventures from underground to pop, yet all of it retains intense  momentum. This first podcast features my latest mix — an audio celebration of sorts, to signify my 33rd Birthday. The mix is a vibrant collection of driving house music, taking the listener on a ride through bouncy basslines, hard synths, and progressive rhythms. Certainly a representation of my sound, I hope the energy moves achieves its goal: to get you moving.
