At The Movies...10 Years Later

Two very white, drunkish movie fans go back into the world of Tyler Perry this week. jBow and CBax share their thoughts on a movie that is "Dark... midnight dark, camping...during a fire ban". Listen in as the lads discuss the romantic overtures of hiring a string quartet, abusive judge power, inappropriate BUT incredibly handsome bus drivers, a Mortal Kombat time out, their very opposing views on whether or not to spank their kids, painting and poetry nights being a thing, post ice-cream spaz-downs, how much you'd pay a suspended angel to play a harp at your wedding, THE WORST POEM EVER! Tyler Perry writing himself as a basketball stud and kids these days being shitty. That conversation gets pretty real ("There's a lot of unacceptable children out there"). Full Disclosure: We really liked this movie, and there was a fuck up in recording that cost us half the episode. We left a good chunk of it to die in the Arctic. As such, jBow and CBax take a truncated look at a movie they keep confusing with "Snow Dogs". Back to our shitty horror movie roots, we're tackling a long forgotten movie that was actually a remake of the first 20 minutes of a movie from the 70s. Confused? Yeah. No it's not "Big Momma's House 2" (that's in a few weeks), this week we're doing Hostel. We discuss, in great scientific detail, how old documents are kept, why high speed chases in Washington, DC are bullshit, appreciating the gravity of situations, awful wigs, immature screenwriters and the many many deaths of Sean Bean. One of the most confusing movies we've watched for the show (maybe even moreso than Boogeyman), we sat down and watched the much maligned but partially respected Will Ferrell/Nicole Kidman remadaptation of the popular(?) tv show Bewitched. We've been eagerly awaiting this episode all year. "Let's google who would win in a fight between a hippo and a lion" sums up exactly how into the 2005 animated franchise launching "Madagascar". "J-Lo is box office smash" seems like something nobody has said in 10 years, so this movie definitely fits with the show theme. jBow and CBax are stupified by this failed opportunity to make one of the best horror-thrilles ever. Among other things, the fellas discuss Alias, the boquet toss in movies, gay best friend characters, censored f-words, colours worse than peach, the proper time to fire someone, bland leading men and talking during movies.
