We are in Christ together as His body, many different parts yet one.

Once joined to Jesus, we cannot be separated from him. Our union is with him is from eternity to eternity.

Being joined to Jesus means our sin becomes his and his perfect life becomes ours.

A rich man won't receive the kingdom as a gift. The only way we will leave everything to receive it is to see Jesus as the saviour that we need.

Pharisees and children show contrasting ways to come to Jesus - come to self-exalt or come in need.

Jesus tells his followers that the way to true greatness is through putting others before ourselves, just as he did for us.

Jesus is revealed as Gods own Son and the only one who can bring salvation through his death and resurrection. We need to trust in him!

Jesus predicts that he must die, and as a result we must follow. As we deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Jesus, this is where we find life.

Jesus heads into Gentile territory and had compassion on a hungry woman and a needy man. He has come for all who seek him.

Jesus exposes mere religion as a waste of time as he explains that the problem is not outside of us, but inside. Sin comes from the heart.

Jesus raises a dead girl to life. He is our only hope in the face of death

Jesus restores a demon possessed man, showing his power over all of Satan's work

Jesus is with his disciples in the storm, as they fear for their lives. In calming the storm Jesus reveals who he is, and the need for us to see him clearly.

Jesus' Kingdom is meant to be revealed, not hidden (v21-25). The parable of the growing seed (v26-29) shows the Kingdom seed is growing inside people. The parable of the mustard seed (v30-34) shows the Kingdom growing so you can no longer ignore it.

The kingdom of God has been given to those who have come to Christ. The parable teaches us that those who have the kingdom will receive Gods word, accept it and bear fruit.

Jesus is only one who can bind the strong man and claim his people for himself. The mark of those in his family seek to do the will of God.

A man is known by the company he keeps. Jesus not only calls sinners, but eats with them. He is the doctor we all really need.
