Our Hump Day Exchange podcast on Harvesting Innovation explored how large corporations, startups, universities, and government cultivate innovative ideas and help them to market. Episode 8 of Hump Day Exchange brought three artificial intelligence aficionados to share their experiences. This months guests were Roy Russo, Predikto’s VP of Engineering; Dr. David Joyner of Georgia Tech’s Design & Intelligence lab; Jackson Morgan, GT student and winning team captain of the AT&T IoT Hackathon. Episode 4, "Crowds on Fire" probed the intersection of entertainment and activism, tapping into the passion of audiences and fans. Three digital media mavens shared how Crowds on Fire are coming together to make a difference in their local communities, generate attention for social issues, and help gamers and content creators generate revenues to fuel their craft. Episode 3, "Design Driven" highlighted the importance of good design in everything we build, from robots to railway stations. Hump Day Exchange is one part social gathering of the Tech Square community and one part podcast recording. After some food and drink, we explore the same topic from three perspectives. February 25th, 2016 Startup Exchange, a student run entrepreneur community at Georgia Tech, hosted Y Combinator at The Garage in Tech Square. Kat Manalac - Partner Y Combinator Kevin Hale - founded Wufoo, which was funded by Y Combinator and acquired by SurveyMonkey. Michael Seibel - cofounder of Justin.tv and SocialCam.

On May 7, Steve Case, co-founder of AOL and CEO of Revolution, brought his national Rise of the Rest tour to Tech Square for a lunch with corporate innovators and startup leaders. About 50 people gathered in the AT&T Foundry to enjoy a barbecue meal to discuss how large enterprises and startups will lead the Third Wave of the Internet. Here is the full conversation.
