The Yankees finally won a game. Deivi Garcia led the way, and in the 43rd game of the season, Gleyber Torres decided to show up with a home run, double and four RBIs. The Yankees now have a chance to officially get back on track with a four-game series at home against the Orioles.At the 6:06 mark, former Yankees reliever Scott Proctor joins me to talk about his baseball career and time with the Yankees.

Entering this weekend, the Yankees had a 19-game winning streak against the lowly Orioles. That streak reached 20 games after Friday's win in the first game of the doubleheader, but after that, the Yankees lost three straight to the rebuilding Orioles. The Yankees' season continues to get worse as they are now in eighth in the AL, barely in a postseason spot.

If you thought the Yankees would get back on track this weekend against the Orioles, you must think this Yankees team is any good. They aren't. They were 16-6 and now they're 21-18. But according to their manager, they're doing "really good positive things."

On Thursday against the Mets, the combination of J.A. Happ and Aaron Boone blew a 4-0 lead, and the combination of Zack Britton and Aroldis Chapman blew a 7-4 lead. The loss was the Yankees' third in four games, and as their season continues to head in the wrong direction, the team keeps coming up with excuses when they lose.

The season series is over between the Yankees and Rays. Thankfully. The Rays won the series 8-2, and for as bad as that is, it seemed even worse. The Yankees won't see the Rays again unless they see them in the postseason, and no Yankees fan should want that.

The Yankees did it! They beat the Rays! After six straight losses to their only division competition, the Yankees avoided blowing another game to the Rays. Masahiro Tanaka was allowed to pitch six innings, DJ LeMahieu and Luke Voit kept on hitting and Kevin Kiermaier finally did something bad against the Yankees. Because of the ninth-inning antics, the series and season finale on Wednesday might lead to some suspensions.

On Saturday against the Mets, J.A. Happ pitched like Gerrit Cole. And on Monday against the Rays, Gerrit Cole pitched like J.A. Happ. It was the second straight start in which Cole lasted only five innings, as he has now failed to beat the Rays in any of his three starts against them this season. Cole has been good this season, but he needs to be great. If he isn’t his old self a month from now, the Yankees aren’t going anywhere.

The five-game Subway Series was full of surprises. The Yankees won games they were supposed to lose and lost games they were supposed to win. They walked off on the Mets twice and got walked off on despite being the home team. They won a game on a wild pitch and came back to win another game despite a 0.02 percent chance of winning. It was a crazy weekend made crazier by Aaron Boone.

The Yankees lost for the sixth straight game, and once again, it was a game they could have and should have won. Chad Green blew a three-run lead by allowing three home runs in an inning and Aaron Boone's lineup and in-game decisions were right in the middle of the loss. The Yankees still have to play the Mets four times this weekend and they will have to do so without any of their three top and actual starting pitchers. I don't know how the Yankees are going to win a game this weekend. Gerrit Cole and Masahiro Tanaka can't start and their 1 through 4 hitters are out as Aaron Judge becomes Giancarlo Stanton with injuries. After the five games against the Mets, things only get worse with three more games against the Rays and another game against the Mets next weekend.

It's a summer Friday. No one should be this upset on a summer Friday, but here I am furious about the Yankees because of their last three games. The Yankees are falling apart.

The Yankees have one team they're competing against for the AL East title and they can't beat them. After losing to the Rays 4-2 on Wednesday night, the Yankees are now 1-5 against their only division competition this season.

The Rays are better than the Yankees. Maybe they won't be at the end of the season, but right now they are. Even if the Yankees hold a 1 1/2-game lead over them in the standings, the Rays are now 4-1 against the Yankees this season.

The Yankees don't lose at home and they certainly don't lose to the Red Sox. After sweeping the Red Sox in a three-game series a couple of weeks ago at Yankee Stadium, the Yankees swept them again, this time in a four-game series. The Yankees have now won 10 straight against the Red Sox for the first time since 1952-53.With the four wins over the Red Sox, the Yankees have now won six straight and are 16-6 with a three-game lead in the loss column over the Rays. If the Yankees' winning streak continues through the three-game series with the Rays beginning on Tuesday, the division will be over with 35 games left to play.

Aaron Boone might have outright lied as Yankees manager to the fans and the media when he removed Aaron Judge from Tuesday's game. If he did, it's not a great look for a manager in New York. If he didn't, then Aaron Judge seemingly can't stay healthy once again. Either way, it's bad for the Yankees.

When the Yankees lead a game 3-0 after the first inning, 6-0 after the third innning and 8-0 after the fifth inning, there should be no reason to get upset, frustrated or annoyed with Aaron Boone. But the Yankees manager always finds a way.

On top of five losses in seven games, Aaron Boone has been as bad as ever with days off and bullpen decisions, the Yankees still can't situationally hit, James Paxton is being treated as a hero for blowing a three-run lead and Giancarlo Stanton is once again hurt as a Yankee. It was a bad week.

Giancarlo Stanton played in only 18 games last season and then missed a lot of the postseason with various injuries. After playing in 14 games this season (all as the designated hitter), Stanton now has a hamstring injury. When will it end with him?

The Yankees had two hits and seven baserunners on Friday night and lost 1-0, but they didn't lose because of their lack of baserunners. The Rays only had two hits and four baserunners and managed to get across the game's lone run in an inning without a hit. The difference in the game was the Yankees' situational hitting.In a game in which Blake Snell was removed after three innings, the Yankees failed to score a leadoff double in both the seventh and eighth innings and failed to even get the runner over to third with one out. Masahiro Tanaka did his part (5 IP, 1 H) and the bullpen did theirs (3 IP, 1 H, 1 ER), but the offense let the team down.

The Yankees haven't clinched or won anything in 2020. Even at 9-3 they don't have the best record in the American League or in baseball, but they are being managed like they have everything wrapped up.
