Beers And Laughs Podcast

Jacob and fill-in co-host Bill head to Greenfield, MA to check out The People's Pint. Chris was a generous host and very knowledge beer manager for the operation.  His excitement and knowledge of beer was a pleasure to see.  We could have spent more than the three hours we where there for.  I highly recommend you take a trip to their brew pub or check your local craft beer stores. 

Eddie and Dooley stop by with some Dorchester Brewing as Jacob shares some of his White Stout from Crooked Current. They discuss the news with reading just the headlines.  This leads to them getting political.   

Comedian Ryan Chani stops by to drink Ballast Point, Rogue, Dangol and Revival.  James, Ryan and Jacob discuss dating tips, aging beer and Ryan's trip to New York for Dangerfields Comedy Club.

Mike joins Jacob and James with a Brett Sematary, James brings a Chocolate Ale from Boulevard.  Jacob comes hungover with a Foolproof Barstool. They discuss the world after the US Elections and remembered to review the new Ghostbusters. 

Jacob takes his talents to Dooley's place where Eddie, Dooley and Jacob have 5 different types of IPA's.  They tried Singlecut Is This The Real Life? IPA, Mayflower Evolipulin (good luck pronouncing this one),  Rogue Yellow Snow IPA, Lord Hobo Boom Sauce, and Gigantic Brewing Ginormous Imperial IPA.  They discussed what's going on in the news by using the first three words of each news topic.  They pondered if Oprah can do certain things.  And they closed it out with an exit interview.  

Tara and Ali Drink The People's Pint, Halia and Brew Free or Die.  We discussed Tara's path to craft beer as she legit just got into the world of it.  We drink 21st Amendment's Brew Free or Die IPA and discussed Jacob's trip to San Francisco.  Next we opened up Goose Island's Halia 2016.  Goose Island is in Chicago, where Tara, Ali and Jacob took a trip to for a wedding. Lastly, they drink a local craft from Greenfield, MA called The People'e Pint.  

Dooley and Eddie Drink Barrel House Z Hoppy Poppy, Boulevard Funkier Pumpkin, and Trillium Upper Case. This was record prior to the election but we told some election jokes. Dooley will now become a reoccuring guest. 

Election season is here and who better to discuss current issues than these lads? We discussed William (Bill) Burke's campaigning and how to prepare for election day as a candidate. Dan and Tyler from AWFOL podcast join us for a podcast crossover! These assholes didn't appreciate having the last known Jack D'or known to man.  They were also welcomed with the third best American IPA according to the World Beer Cup, Nightshift's Santilli.  Oh and we had a Guinness.  What would you eat if you could eat something that is not edible?

Jacob and James hang out with Brian after his shift on Friday night.   They talked about the past two years since they've all become friends.  They break down the beer business, especially insurance against Donkey Kong.  The gang breaks down their value in a zombie apocalypse Brian shares some of the Bog Iron goals and Brian plays Top 5 High Five.   Oh, we taste some rare exclusive beers: Boulevard Love Child #7 Frank From Akron's travel beer  

The guys have KBS by Founders and Barista by Clown Shoes.  There was also folgers coffee. They discussed the end of Ben Kenna's drinking, seeing an accident and how to handle it, and they did some segments for the first time in a long time. Oh and Halloween plans were made.

Mike came back from the Highland Games and tells us all about it. We had great beers as always.  Started off with the Bog Iron Jump Back IPA. Follow thats up with a nice O'Hara stout and then capped it off with the smooth pilsner from Von Trapp Brewery.  Also more Home Alone talk. 

My good friends Bill and Courtney stop by to discuss Courtney's 2008 best seller, Changed Through Blood.    This was right after running the 0.0 K charity race for our good friends at Bog Iron. 

NATIONAL BEER  APPRECIATION LOVERS DAY The guys have smuttynose and discuss their love of beer.

James does a solo podcast.  Who knows what's on this episode.  Well, he probably does. 

Eric Taylor talks about his deepest passion: the libertarian party.   We also discuss other things but whatever.    I forget the beers but I will post after I relisten. 

Tyler Swain drops by to talk about his open mics, John Candy, and a mutual friend. This was a really pleasurable episode.

Jacob ventures to Bill and Rob's neighborhood to talk beer and life.  This was the second half of a podcast so everyone is half in the bag and they ran out of beer. We talked local pubs, beers on tap, mount rushmore with our favorite cities and Rob tells us to never have kids.
