"Miracle On The Hudson" survivor Mark Hood ('82) describes the dramatic rescue of US Airways Flight 1549, which crashed in the Hudson River on Jan. 15. Also, Citadel basketball great Doug Bridges ('68) remembers former head hoops coach Mel Thompson, who passed away at the age of 76 on Feb. 5.

This weekend the Senior Bowl takes place in Mobile at 40,646 seat Ladd-Peebles Stadium, co-named in the Citadel graduate's honor. Also, Jeff Hartsell has the latest in recruiting news for the football team. And we get you ready for the COC-Citadel basketball game on Saturday.

Dr. Bill Schupp ('62), president of The Citadel Basketball Association, is this week's Band of Gold Spotlight. He discusses the hard work his volunteer organization has performed to further Citadel basketball. Also, Jeff Hartsell and Jim Waddill have fun discussing the hair length of Citadel athletes. And the Echo Taps portion of the show includes a tribute to Major Brian M. Mescall ('97), who was killed in action in Afghanistan on Jan. 9.
