God. More has been written on Him than any other subject in history. Socrates, Hawking, Chaucer... a never ending list of philosophers, scientists and poets have taken on God. But really, everything you've ever needed to know about God can be summed up in a child's prayer.

What does a Christ-follower do when they blow it? Is God angry at them? Does he want to make them pay? During week 2 of Storytellers, Pastor Josh takes a look at Psalm 51, an inspirational psalm that expresses both the hope and beauty of true repentance.

Although we live in congested cities, lead busy lives, and have overcommitted schedules, we often find ourselves very isolated from those around us. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't designed this way.

At Vertical Church, we believe that the first active step someone makes toward God is made during an encounter with the presence of God. For a majority, this happens during the weekend worship experience. Therefore, how we go about that time matters deeply.

It has been said that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. The same can be said of the gospel. It is our role, as parents and as a church, to pass on the truth of Jesus Christ to the next generation. If we succeed, then we will change the world for the glory of God.
