Start 2016 off with Metro and Pastor Johns. As we start working on our resolutions, we have the tendency to say, "This year is gonna be better than last year!" Well, Pastor Johns is here to warn you that in 2016, you will find yourself in the pits at some point, but know that your Balm in Gilead is already prepared. This sermon also starts the countdown to his farewell. He preaches again on January 30 and then his last sermon is February 6.

Pastor Michael Polite - chaplain at Andrews University - is our guest speaker to kick off "Empowered" - our Teens4G week of prayer. He preaches "Baggage Claim" - a powerful sermon about being unwanted, unqualified and unprepared. He reminds us that we are often our harshest critics.

Pastor Johns dissects the feeding of the four thousand and teaches us that (1) Jesus is aware of how closely we follow Him (2) Jesus is aware of the sacrifices we make to follow Him and (3) Jesus is aware of what we need to continue following Him. The Metropolitan Church Choir makes its debut under the direction of Mike Smith!

God's crumbs are more than sufficient to meet our needs. Jasmine Brann leads praise and worship.

What is going on? Pastor B takes off her shoe and tells a soap opera story that shows how God is going to provide breakthroughs in our lives! Praise and worship is led by guest leader Larry Vaughn. Common Cents continues. Get your HAVDALAH!
