Today we will look at Exodus 31. This chapter speaks of two key thoughts, work and rest! In six days God created the world then He rested. The sabbath was established as a sign for the Jews that the Lord is God. Week after week they observed the sabbath as holy to the Lord. It was a reminder to them of who God is. But what does that mean for us today? We will discover how Jesus is the perfect fulfillment of the Sabbath rest and that we are invited to enter the rest of God!

Exodus 27-30 describes how God's people were to approach a holy God.  And once again, Jesus is the fulfillment of the "copy" that Exodus records.  How has God called you to live as a priest in the world you live in?

To understand the tabernacle of Exodus 25-27 is to better understand Jesus.  More than a list of construction docs, the tabernacle is God bringing his presence to the world!

Control.  We all want it -- but it seems to be an illusion.  In Exodus 16 &17, God is teaching his people to trust daily in his provision.  And, once again, the stories point to Jesus.  

We all search for something to make life meaningful.  What if the answer was right in front of us all along?  What if Easter actually shows us the Way?

“Those who do not learn from history are destined to repeat it.”  Exodus 15 starts with a song of worship in response to Israel’s deliverance.  Then, we find the Hebrews entering a cycle that will repeat for 40 years in the wilderness.  And from their story, we can learn from history — and avoid repeating their mistakes.

God is relentlessly answering the question of Pharaoh (and us), “Who is the Lord, that I should listen to his voice?”  And God’s answer may be surprisingly good news!

What do you do when God speaks to you?  Exodus 7 is the story of how 2 individuals respond when God's Word comes to them:  Moses & Pharaoh.  How they respond has everything to do with what happens next.

Moses is walking proof that “God does His best work in impossilbe situations.”  In chapter 6, we find our unlikely hero hearing from God and stepping forward in faith, despite a broken past and a shaky faith.  

Israel has begun to have hope for the first time in a long.  But in chapter 5, hope is crushed.  How do we survive disappointment?  

When have you felt closest to God?  In Exodus 3, God reveals himself as both above (transcendent) and here with us (immanent).  He is the "I AM" and we get to proclaim, "I'm with Him!"

Exodus is the story of God.  We see Him make a way for his people --- often in surprising fashion!  Yet, there are moments when we wonder if God is going to come through for us.  This message from Exodus 2 reminds us that God sees and God knows.
