Each vocation is a school of love if lived the way God intends for it to be lived.

As a branch has life only through the vine, we have spiritual life only through the Vine who is Christ.

The Sunday readings give us strong images that our imagination can dwell upon to enrich our prayer life.

Rightly understood, our celebrating the Eucharist is a proclamation of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. As we make this proclamation, the gift we receive has the power to transform our lives.

We who believe in Christ are called to give witness to Christ in the world today. To bring others to Christ is an act of love if we truly believe that Jesus is the Savior of all people.

God created us to live in eternal communion with Him. In the communion of persons that can exist in deep friendships and, especially, in the marriage relationship, we are given a glimpse of what eternal communion with God will be like.

Jesus humbled himself by accepting the cross; we are to imitate Him by emptying ourselves, humbling ourselves, in the service of God and of one another.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can rise from the graves created by our selfishness, pride, anger, fear and addictions. Jesus can raise us up to a new and everlasting life.

Jesus gave Himself totally for us; we are to commit ourselves totally to him.

Jesus thirsts not for water from the Samaritan woman, but for her faith. He thirsts also for our faith; for our salvation.

That which God does not ask of Abraham, the Sacrifice of his son, God does out of love for us. He asked his Son to embrace death on the cross so that we might live forever in oneness with the Son.

We enter the desert of Lent so that we can become more aware of the presence of God and also aware of the working of Satan in our lives.

According to the law of Moses, people with leprosy had to live alone, outside the camp. A leper said to Jesus, “If you wish, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, Jesus touched him: “I do will it. Be made clean.” The leprosy left him, and he was healed.

The Consecrated Life (Religious Life) is a way to follow God’s call in our life. For those whom God has called, it can be a way to holiness.

Because the Kingdom of God is a kingdom of love, we who wish to become a part of that kingdom must always be in the process of repenting of our sins and living according to God’s plan.

The more we know the scriptures, the more richness and meaning we find in God’s Word. This can be easily seen in the story of the Annunciation.

The essence of the Christian Life is to belong to Christ to such an extent that it transforms every aspect of our lives. This transformation will be seen especially in the way we relate to the poorest and neediest among us.

Our sexuality is intrinsically connected to our vocational call from God. Each vocation calls us to live our sexuality in a unique way, but each vocation is always a call to love.

We are called to proclaim Christ as the light and the hope of all people. To do this, we must first follow the example of the magi and come to adore him.

The decisions of each of us relating to family impacts the future of our society, our Church and the future of all humanity.
