The reflection on St Thomas a Becket was delivered by Tony Coverdale as part of the St Thomas a Becket weekend celebrations in June 2023. The talk reflects of the life of St Thomas a Becket, his relationship with King Henry and the events that lead to his murder in Canterbury Cathedral in 1170. Although the events took place over 850 years ago, those events still have meaning today causing us to think about friendship, loyalty to earthly Government, loyalty to God and conscience.
