This week marks the third week of Donald Trump's second term as President of the United States of America , and it has been eventful.

This week, three more hostages were set free from the terror organization Hamas, where they had been treated terribly. "Keith Siegel, Yarden Bibas and Ofer Calderon returned to Israel Saturday morning after 484 days in captivity, during which they were held in very difficult conditions.”

This was the week where everything changed in America. The Biden administration left power and Trump’s team entered the Whitehouse. Immediately following the inauguration ceremony began the wave of sweeping presidential executive orders from Trump, on a scale never been seen before this early in any other administration in American history.

On New Years Day in New Orleans terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar flying the Islamic State flag drove a truck through a crowd of people horrifically killing 15, and injuring 35.

As Syria collapses, Russia has begun withdrawing some of its resources to Libya of all places. This is in keeping with Bible prophecy as we see the stage being set for Armageddon. 

The events of the last couple of weeks will substantively change the face of the middle east for decades to come. The brutal Assad regime in Syria has fallen. 

The sudden collapse of the Syrian regime brings to light a transforming Middle East as Israel's enemies are subdued, opening potential pathways to peace. 

The events of recent weeks have once again highlighted the deeply entrenched animosity of the United Nations (UN) toward Israel, the nation described in Scripture as "the apple of [God's] eye" (Zechariah 2:8). The ongoing campaign against the Jewish state by this global institution is not merely a political controversy; it is a symptom of the moral decay that characterises our age.

Since 2012 Hamas’ leadership have lived in luxury in Qatar. While ordering their military wing into conflicts with Israel from far, the leaders have lived in complete safety and comfort with easy access to the West. However, earlier this month the Biden Administration announced that Qatar had made the decision to expel Hamas from the country ending Qatar being a haven for the terror group.

October 7 last year was the terrible Hamas led attack on Israel. Since then Israel has been at war defending itself from the Hamas terror organization and endeavoring to bring the hostages taken by Hamas back to Israel. Since then America has said they support Israel, while at the same time restraining Israel, pushing for a hostage deal that would keep Hamas in power and threatening and actually withholding arms shipments from Israel. One such time was recently on October 13. The Washiington Post reported that,

As the world braces for the American Election, Bible students can rest assured that the will of the Father will prevail. It is not always what we want but what is needed to bring about His will. We know the eventual outcome of world affairs, but how this end is achieved by the angels, we cannot know. We watch enthusiastically with the Bible in hand, without intervention by vote or voice.

The recently published Asserson Report, has brought to light significant concerns regarding the BBC's coverage of the Israel-Hamas conflict. Authored by Trevor Asserson, a prominent British-Israeli lawyer with a history of challenging media bias, this report meticulously analysed the BBC’s reporting across its English and Arabic platforms between October 7, 2023, and February 7, 2024. The report used both human analysis and AI to scrutinise nearly nine million words of coverage, highlighting over 1,500 breaches of the BBC's own editorial guidelines.

Israel has been under fire from Hamas, Hezbollah, Yemen and Iran – and yet God continues to deliver them from their enemies. The nations of the world have united at the United Nations to condemn Israel, and this is a political manifestation of the perpetual hatred or enmity spoken of in Genesis 3:15. As the world becomes increasingly hostile, Israel becomes increasingly successful. This is God’s doing and marvellous in his eyes, hailing the way for God's coming kingdom.

The elimination of Hassan Nasrallah could lead into the peace and safety found in Ezekiel 38

Since the October 7th attack on Israel, there has been a low-level war of attrition between Israel and the Hezbollah terror group. This has forced 60,000 Israelis to be evacuated from the bordering towns and villages, living in bed and breakfasts and hotels with their lives on hold for nearly a year. Over the last week the conflict in Israel’s north has escalated. On September 17th at 3:30pm pagers, used by the terror group, simultaneously exploded throughout the country. It is believed as many as 5,000 devices may have been involved with the initial attack. 

At the end of this last week, Catholic pope Francis was returning from a visit to Asia aboard the Papal plane, accompanying him was a group of journalists. The journalists asked him predominantly about political matters, there were questions regarding the places he had visited; Singapore, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia; and also questions about China, the upcoming American election and the war in Israel. Notably the questions about the places just visited were not highlighted in the official Vatican article, nor hardly taken notice of by the large news networks. The number one issue highlighted was the war in Israel and second to this was the upcoming election in the United States.
