On the last podcast of 2020... We look back at the Super Cup game against porto, we discuss attitude, grit, commitment, all of which were probably part of Luisao's talk to the team at the end of the game. We also discussed the game against last place Portimonense, a tale of two halves, in opposite sides of the spectrum. 2020 has been and extremely unusual year, thank you for tuning in to us, we wish that 2021 is much better than 2020, both from a personal perspective, but also that Benfica can rise to glory in 2021. On this week's podcast... We look back at Benfica's win in Barcelos against Gil Vicente, preview another crucial match for Benfica under JJ in this season's Super Cup against Porto. We discuss the importance of the game against Porto and how it could set the stage for an extremely difficult January month. Lastly we look ahead to the next game of the Liga Nos against last place Portimonense.

On this week's podcast.... It's a triple play of game recaps, first we looked back at the last match of the Europa League group stages, where Benfica had minimal hopes of finishing first in the group, then a game against Vilafranquense for the Portuguese Cup where Benfica exercised their logical domination against a second division team. The last recap was of the Portuguese League Cup against Guimaraes for a spot in the competition's final four, where Benfica struggled to be efficient in front of goal but were able to book a spot in the final four after the penalty shoot out.  Lastly we look ahead to this weekend's game against Gil Vicente.

None of the internationals made the game roster as JJ opted to include 9 "B" team players and 2 juniors in the game call up sheet. The score line is not indicative of Benfica's domination of the game, but of their lack efficiency in front of goal. We recap the game, discuss JJ's presser comments and wonder if there's a message behind it. We then look ahead to Benfica's Europa League fixture in Scotland against Rangers, and Liga Nos' next fixture against Maritimo in the Madeira island.
