My family & friends decided they had a few more things that needed to be said on this topic of celebrating the black collective family which is merely an extension of one's own self love and pride within. How can you hate me and everything I stand upon yet love yourself? Subconsciously we hate in others that which we see in ourselves so all the things we've mentioned in hate and ridicule towards our people is the exact reflection of our characteristics which we are battling to keep unseen by those in our lives. Our focus again tonight is bringing that which you love about your people, and hence love within yourself, to the forefront and staying focused on that. Just recently A Catholic Cardinal has come out and said that   Adam and Eve didn't exist. And the Pope has a new book out saying that the Jews didn't kill Jesus. It's Christmas, but not as you know it:  Pope Benedict XVI looks at the early life of Jesus -- and debunks several myths about how the Nativity unfolded.According to the pope's research, there is also no evidence in the Gospels that the cattle and other animals traditionally pictured gathered around the manger were actually present. It’s a phrase we heard often especially during our formative years, male or female, we all know “A man is going to be a man”. Young girls are raised under the pretenses that having a no good man is better than having no man at all, we are raised in a society where we are supposed to accept that a man will have illicit sexual affairs at some point in the relationship. Interesting that his-story states that the woman was created from the crooked rib of a man, created weak yet we are the one’s expected to be virtuous, modest, submissive and supportive to a man who believes himself to be weak…. Enough is surely enough! Fifty years ago a state-centric universe allowed governments to treat their own citizens virtually as they chose within national borders. Today the concept of human rights is flourishing, and the rights of individuals are prized (if not always protected). Across the contemporary legal, political and social landscape, we see abundant evidence of the legitimation of the movement: we see global conventions that outlaw discrimination on the basis of gender and race and outline the rights of refugees and children; a planet-wide ban on land-mines that was sparked by the outrage of a Vermonter; a pair of ad hoc international war crimes tribunals that take certain mass murderers to task; and an abundance of human rights lawyers who have acquired a respected presence at the policy-making table. In short, when it comes to human rights as a whole, states and citizens have traveled vast distances.

“We ALL understand the plight of women and we have to deal with misogyny, sexism and prejudice everyday. The difference is, we have the added pressure of dealing with RACISM on top of all that too. Society has doubled-down on their oppression of Black women and you will never understand that. White women were granted sovereignty by the suffrage movement WAY before Black women were allowed to receive it, so stop trying to act as if our struggles are the same!” Dear black men, The statement written above is a testament to the strife, struggles and hardships black women are currently battling everyday, and no matter how much we cuss you out, tell you we don’t need you or your love and act like we can carry the weight of the word on our back’s…black men, we NEED you. We don’t just want you…we NEED you. The black nucleur family is not whole without your presence, and our children need fathers and yes…we NEED you as our lovers, providers and protectors.

Our mental level consists of our intellect, our ability to think and reason. The mental level is also where we harbor our thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and values. The physical level is the physical body, there lies our ability to survive and thrive in the material world. Healing and detoxing must occur on the physical and mental levels to obtain optimal balance, besides what good is a sound mind with a weak body?
