    23/02/2024 Duração: 22min

Duke's 3 game road trip takes them about an hour down the road to Wake Forest for what will be one of the toughest games of the season. As the Duke Basketball Roundup crew explains, Wake is a good team on the road but a truly great team at home, raining 3-pointers down on opponents. The Demon Deacons are undefeated in Winston-Salem this season and they are in desperate need of an attention-getting win... and Duke is just the opportunity they want. The DBR Podcast breaks it all down as Duke tries to stay atop the ACC standings and remain in line for a very high seed in the NCAA tournament. After the break, the podcast guys also reveal a shocking statistic about Duke's Mark Mitchell. His poor shooting reputation from early in the season is really starting to fade. Jared McCain’s 20 points and 3 huge steals was a central focus, and Mark Mitchell once again had a really good game. The team defense was what kept Duke in it and ultimately helped them to the win. We also talk about the struggles in this game, from rebounding to Kyle Filipowski on offense. Jeremy Roach and Mark Mitchell returned, but Roach injured his ankle in this one and was limited in action as a result. After the incredible headlines we received, they discuss some of the great performances, notably Tyrese Proctor’s career night and Mark Mitchell dominating on both ends of the floor. Kyle Filipowski had a 10-5-5 game with both he and Mitchell having double-doubles as the rebounding margin proved to be clutch. The team closed out the game well, taking Louisville’s best shot and then slowly punching them into submission. After the break, we get to some of the things that need to improve, namely the struggles that Duke had on defense to be

Blake Hinson was hitting everything, but while there was a lot of fight from the Blue Devils, there wasn’t that sharp play throughout the game. Another slow start that is starting to unfortunately become too much of a routine proved to be the difference. After the break, Duke turns around and heads to the Yum! Center on Tuesday to take on the Louisville Cardinals. We preview what to expect in that matchup and how Duke needs to turn it around quickly against the worst team in the ACC and needs to do it with a fast start and consistent energy and intensity.
