Kerry and his wife are New Zealanders with hearts for the poor and oppressed. They moved to India in 1999 and set out to found a business in order to bring hope and freedom for women trapped in the sex trade. Freeset (www.freesetglobal.com) now employs 140 women in the sustainable business of producing environmentally-friendly products. Motivated by God's heart for the poor, Kerry grapples every day with issues of human trafficking, poverty and social justice. Kerry serves on the board for freedom initiatives in the U.S., speaks extensively around the world, and will lead a seminar in the international poverty track at Urbana '09.
