Adulting is the act of engaging in responsible actions and tasks that make you feel like an adult. Adulting is never without accountability. Followers of Jesus live knowing that there are earthly consequences to the decisions we make and that we will have to give an account to God. Work towards adulting with God-given purpose.

In the last part of our series on mental health, Pastor Hubbard discusses the importance of understanding that healing is more than a decision. Healing takes time. But with the proper guidance and support group, you can and will survive. Jesus loves you and wants you to live your best life!

If you've experienced trauma in your life that has adversely affected your well-being, then you are not alone. The bible tells the story of Joseph, someone who experienced abuse, kidnapping, and the death of his mother during his childhood. We can rejoice in the fact that God is always present. Today we want to begin a conversation about Mental Health. We want to begin the conversation because we believe according to the teaching of Scripture that Jesus came to minister to the whole person. The ministry of Jesus was one of “teaching, preaching, and healing”. The word “salvation” means deliverance, rescue, and wholeness. Jesus came that we might have life (zoe) and have it more abundantly. The meaning of that word for life focuses on the quality of life which includes exuberance, energy, vitality and the like. Jesus is concerned about the whole person so we must speak to the whole person.

Why do you call Jesus "Lord" if you don't obey Him? Hearing Jesus and obeying Jesus will lead to a stable life...your best life!

What does Jesus expect when He says, "follow me"? Listen as Pastor Kodjo breaks down what it means to truly follow Jesus.

As a young adult, one of the most important decisions you can make is to choose to follow Jesus exclusively, wholeheartedly, and decisively. We worship the Lord "only" because of who He is and what He's done. Listen as Pastor Hubbard challenges us to stand boldly and confidently in Christ.

Even at our best, we still need Jesus. Are you going against the grain to live before God and apply the teachings of His word in everything you do? Are you willing to go against the grain by choosing God and serving Jesus?

The bible tells us that we have a real enemy who is watching to see when we're not watching. The key to overcoming is persistent prayer! Persistent prayer is about me surrendering so that I can get where God wants you to be. Keep watching and praying lest you enter into temptation. The time to overcome temptation is before temptation comes! Pray and keep praying.

Temptation is only temptation when we choose not to trust who God is and what God has said. To overcome is to succeed in dealing with a problem or difficulty. To overcome is to defeat or prevail. To biblical term used in this passage is the term nikao. It means to overcome, overpower, triumph or be victorious. It rests on the fact that God makes believers His children and that through faith in. His promise it makes men victorious.

We serve with love because conduct that is intended to represent Jesus void of the love of Jesus is a misrepresentation of Jesus. How do you think God may be calling you to serve someone?

Did you know eating together is a great way to live and love like Jesus? Including those who are often excluded from our community by inviting them to dinner, lunch, or coffee requires time, courage, and compassion. Ask God to give you the courage to reach out and invite those who've been left out. Ask Him to open your eyes to see who He wants you to be hospitable toward and to include in a meal this week. Ask God to help you become more like Jesus.

In the series of B.L.E.S.S., the second letter encourages us to share our faith by listening with care to the needs and struggles of those we are sharing God’s love with. To listen with care requires trust in God and the work of the Holy Spirit. So often in evangelism efforts there is a strategy that encourages those who are sharing their faith to be like that of an attack force. Learn the importance of listening with care.

Where do we begin in attempting to BLESS people all around us? Desire alone is not enough to help people we love be saved. Desire must translate into action. Listen as Pastor Hubbard explains the importance of praying for people who are not followers of Jesus to become followers of Jesus.

People who are committed to the "why" of Jesus also commit to the "how" of Jesus. God is prompting you to intentionally take the initiative in building relationships with people who are not Christ followers. Are you willing to do what it takes to introduce them to Jesus?
